Hiking Option (for fit and experienced hikers): Embark on a 14 km mountain trail reaching 2,511 meters, offering breathtaking views and featuring a traditional Kazakh Altybakan swing. The descent is through the Moon Valley. The hike takes 2–3 hours to ascend, with 2 hours spent at the lake, and follows the same route back. Hiking boots are necessary; trekking poles and raincoats are provided.

- A passport is required as it is a border zone.
- The route may change depending on weather conditions.
- October is typically rainy, so please check the forecast as a clear view of the lake cannot be guaranteed.
- From November to May, the lake is frozen.
