Visit to the sand dunes and yellow lake. - This was the most amazing trip I think I have ever been on. Maddi was professional, educated and went out of his way to make sure we had an unbelievable afternoon. I cannot recommend highly enough. If I’m back in Saudi will definitely use again- amazing!!!!

Fantastic sunset trip - Our trip started with us being picked up from our hotel and we then drove out to Yellow Lake. We stopped on the way at the oldest bakery in Al Ahsa to try the local red bread stuffed with cheese and drizzled with date syrup. It was delicious. Driving over the sand dunes and seeing lots of camels was amazing. But when we drove over to the yellow lake it genuinely took our breath away. I can’t thank Mahdi enough for making today really special. This is my second tour with the company and I wouldn’t choose anyone else.

Yellow Sand Dunes and Asfar Lake Trip May ‘24 - Yello sand dunes and Asfar lake are hidden gems in Al Ahsa. They are not talked about much because of lack of accessible roads. Need a good 4WD with good understanding of the terrain and surroundings to drive without a guide. Going alone without a local guide/expert is risky. There are hardly any people around.
We took this private tour based on reviews from other travellers. Mahdi was our driver and guide. He contacted us in advance to let us know the trip details. He was quick to respond to questions. He picked us on time on the day of the trip. He was extremely courteous and friendly and a very formal conversationalist. It felt like one of the most fulfilling trips we have had in Saudi so far. Both the Dunes and Asfar lake are must see places if you are in Al Ahsa or Khobar/Dammam. Calm, serene, beautiful, and movie-like. Cherry on top was the camels. Got to see roaming around freely and up close. Highly recommend this trip to travellers coming to Saudi Eastern province.

Fascinating combination of dessert and lake - Best nature trip experience in east of Saudi. Driving through beautiful sanddunes and watching sunset at the yellow lake is a unique experience. The combination of dessert and the lake is super unusual therefore fascinating. Suitable both for families or single/couples travellers.

The Beautiful Yellow Lake Tour - Mahdi and team did a fantastic job in taking us through the breath taking sand dunes drive and showed us the beautiful Yellow Lake! It is a must watch and I strongly recommend Alhasa Natural Attraction tour by Mahdi and team!

My first desert tour! - I took the train from Dammam to Hofuf and experienced a desert tour! It was my first time in Saudi Arabia, but the staff were very helpful, including the advance notice, and they came to pick me up at the station, so I had no worries at all. The tour was also great, and I was able to enjoy the sand dunes and desert oases. The snacks while watching the sunset were also great.

Excellent experience for a family of 4 with young kids - Madhi was an awesome tour guide and provided an incredible experience for my family (including two kids under age 5). He was very courteous to my family and knowledgeable about the area. We loved seeing the sand dunes and having a private picnic looking over yellow lake. Highly recommend Madhi! His communication was clear, manners impeccable, and timeliness was very appreciated.

In search of the Yellow Lake - The toffee coloured rocks around the Living Civilization in Al Hasa is a sight in itself and this was where we met Jawad from Alhasa Natural Attractions who would be our guide for a tour to Al Asfar or Yellow Lake.
The lake itself has been formed through rainfall with dunes built up naturally over time.
Our desert safari took us over various dunes and past a series of electric pylons that appeared to stretch for miles as it carried energy to the GCC.
Our tour was complete with a stop at the peak of the main dune. Jawad kindly offered dates with tea and Arabic coffee to round off our trip as the sun yolked the horizon to end a memorable safari with our very friendly and helpful guide. Highly recommended!!

Wonderful trip - We spent a half day tour around the Yellow lake. The guide was super nice, funny and speaks perfect English. He has a nice car and is a brave driver :) Organisation is professional. The trip was above our expectations, I recommend it!
