Bucket List - Our guide did a fantastic job. He knew exactly where to go to get the best experience. Great tour for a fraction of the cost the Cruise Line charges. Highly recommend.

Excellent and Flexible Northern Lights Tour! - I really enjoyed this Northern Lights tour! The guide was knowledgeable and knew all the best spots for viewing. The van was comfortable as we traveled north of Alta. At each stop, we had plenty of time for photos and to learn about the lights as well as Alta in general. At one stop, we enjoyed hot chocolate and pastries. It was very cold, but the van was available for those that did not want to stay outside as long as others. I highly recommend this tour for people who prefer a small group and a flexible schedule.

Honest and Forthright - This review is more about the company and customer service. First, know that our event was canceled by the vendor well in advance of the start time. We believe the event was canceled due to the reported very low probability on this night. And so, we appreciate that this vendor was forthright and honest about the success of the event, and canceled the event rather than take our money and drive around for 4 hours with no intention of success.

Northern lights - The guide went out of his way to help us see the northern lights, and was patient and informative. Despite weather being poor, he kept looking for new areas where the sky was clear and eventually we were rewarded with a great spectacle. Also noted that despite cancellations he took the 2 of us out when he could have cancelled, we are very grateful to him.

Northern Lights - A rescheduled tour around Alta as it turned out. The weather was really dreadful on the night with high winds and most of the roads in and out of Alta closed so Kjell Åge had to think of something else. Did a great job keeping us entertained.

GREAT TRIP, GREAT PEOPLE - We booked a night tour with Kjell Åge Holten and it was a great experience. At night due to the snowy weather we had to do a shortened trip but the guide still picked us up from our accommodation and was able to entertain us with stories and tales of the people, the city and the family. His friendliness and helpfulness were limitless: the next day we were able to spend more time in nature to show us what the landscape and the people of Alta have to offer. I recommend this trip for anyone who wants to know the city and see incredible landscapes accompanied with kindness.

Adventure of a lifetime. - I loved Alta and I want to return to visit again. I loved the Dog Sledding at Holmen Huskey Lodge. The Huskeys were so sweet and loving. I highly recommend visiting Alta.

Successful search for the Northern Lights, but NOT a minibus tour. - We took this tour instead of our cruise ship’s shore excursion because this tour went searching for the Northern Lights instead of going to just one place. It turned out to be a brilliant decision because it was a cloudy night, so our bus driver drove us far up the coast to where the sky was clearer and we got to see a nice display of the Northern Lights. We heard later that those who went on the ship’s shore excursion didn’t see the Lights because the place they were at had heavy cloud cover. The reason for only 4 stars was that although it was billed as a small group tour on a Minibus with a max of 16 people, it turned out to be a large group tour on a big bus with about 60 people. The bus driver, who was also the tour guide, didn’t seem to be experienced with big groups because when he spoke (while driving), only the people in the first 5 rows could hear him. When we arrived at our destination, we received little guidance or direction or information like where the bathrooms, if any, were. He kind of disappeared until he started rounding up people when it was time to go.

This is not a minibus 16... - This is not a minibus 16 passenger tour and I had confirmed prior. This was a 50 passenger bus so I think we were limited on where we could stop. The tour guide didn’t say a word to us. We did see some Northern Lights so it made it worthwhile. It was nice that we went to a little village but there were too many lights there

Operator didn't show up!!! - Operator didn't show up!! A different operator phoned him and they then honoured his booking squeezing me onto there tour!!! Had no contact from this person at all!!! BEWARE!!!!
