A Magical Christmas Adventure at Alton Towers

This year, we decided to embrace the festive spirit with a visit to Alton Towers during their Santa Sleepover event. With two kids in tow, we were ready for a whirlwind of fun, and Alton Towers did not disappoint!

Enchanting CBeebies Land

Our adventure began in CBeebies Land, a haven for little ones. The kids were over the moon meeting their favorite characters and exploring the vibrant attractions. The queues were surprisingly manageable, with the longest wait being just 25 minutes. This was a relief, as any parent knows that long waits can quickly turn a fun day into a challenging one. The highlight for the kids was meeting Santa himself. The experience was seamless, and the joy on their faces as they received their teddy gifts was priceless.

After a day of excitement, we dined at The Crooked Spoon. The all-you-can-eat carvery was a hit with the kids, and the quality of the food was genuinely impressive. It was the perfect way to refuel before heading to the Cinderella panto. The kids were captivated by the performance, and being seated at the front allowed them to see everything clearly. Their laughter and wide-eyed wonder were the perfect end to our first day.

Splashing Fun and Heartfelt Moments

The next day, we ventured to Splash Landings, a water park that promised endless fun. The kids couldn’t get enough of the slides and pools, and it was a joy to see them so happy and carefree. After a morning of splashing around, we relaxed in the main hotel with some much-needed coffee and snacks.

However, our day took an unexpected turn when a hot coffee was accidentally spilled on my three-year-old son’s legs. It was a heart-stopping moment for any parent, but the staff at the hotel were incredible. They acted swiftly and with such kindness, ensuring my son was comforted and cared for. Special thanks to Finlay and the team, whose professionalism and empathy turned a stressful situation into a moment of gratitude. Thankfully, my son was fine, and the staff’s support made all the difference.
