Awesome Tour! Highlight of my trip to Las Vegas!! - Our guide Jason from Mojave Wave tours was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable, pleasant, and knew all the best places to stop. We saw so many different locations within Death Valley on our small group tour. From tracking across the sand dunes, looking at the pupfish in Salt Creek, and admiring beautiful vistas, this tour had it all. The tour itself was indeed a small group experience; Jason was super accommodating to stop along the road so that we could hop out and take photos of the wildflower superbloom. This trip is well worth a day away from the Strip to experience this wide range of landscape with this tour. If you travel in March, take seriously their recommendation to wear layers, the temperature changed about 30 degrees from the higher altitude stops down to below sea level at Badwater Basin.

Mojave Wave the Best - From start to finish, this was a first-rate tour. From 5:30 am to 6:30 pm, Brian pulled out all the stops to present an engaging history of Nevada and Death Valley as well as an adventurous tour of numerous Death Valley sites. He gave us plenty of time to explore, and he was always attuned to the needs of his group members.

Top Notch Tour!!!!! - From the moment you get into the van, Brian (our guide) shared a wealth of knowledge about the history of Las Vegas and the migration of folks from the East to the West in search of gold. Our route to Death Valley was rich with stops along the way — the bottle house, the building remnants of a ghost town once thriving from the riches of the gold rush, a really cool art installation in the middle of the desert. Then, once we arrived in Death Valley, Brian took us to places within the park that only real insiders know about. It’s obvious that Brian knows Death Valley and where to go to get away from the crowds and other “run of the mill” tourist areas. Brian took us to areas of the park where the vistas were absolutely breathtaking and we got a chance to wander around and see the majestic sights from different vantage points. There were no crowds and we could just commune with nature in peace (and quiet). Our tour was supposed to be 12 hours (from pick up to drop off) and Brian was so excited to show us as much as he could, he spent an additional 2 hours taking us to sights and vantage points that we would have never even known about. This was one of the best tours we’ve been on!!!

Good Trip - Our tour guide, Jason, made the long day feel lighter with his humor and the great stories he shared along the way. Another couple joined our group, which actually made the 12‑hour road trip feel more enjoyable. We did start very early at 4:50 am and our first stop was the Area 51 Mini‑Mart around 7 a.m., which ended up being the last real snack stop before entering the National Park. I expected a dry desert landscape, but the morning was surprisingly cold and windy before warming up into the 70s which was perfect weather for spending the day outdoors. We had breakfast at the Toll Road Restaurant, and the pancakes were excellent. Patty, our server, was outstanding and set a great tone for the morning. Death Valley itself was stunning. The salt flats, the wildflowers scattered across the park, and the mountain views were all spectacular and far more vibrant than I imagined. A couple of things to note: no cold water was provided by the tour guide, and you must bring your own lunch/snacks as that is not included. The only other stop is on the way back to a small family store that sells hot dogs breaded in pancake batter. Overall, it was a good trip with beautiful sights and memorable moments, just make sure to pack your own lunch/snacks and water.
