- Lempuyang Temple - Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang is a Balinese Hindu temple or pura on Mount Lempuyang in Karangasem Regency, Bali. It is the first and lowest temple of the complex of temples called Pura Lempuyang. The highest of these temples, Pura Lempuyang Luhur, is one of the Sad Kahyangan Jagad or “six sanctuaries of the world”, six holiest places of worship on Bali, and one of the nine directional temples of Bali.
- Tirta Gangga - Tirta Gangga is a former royal palace in eastern Bali, Indonesia. Named after the sacred river Ganges in India, it is noted for the Karangasem royal water palace, bathing pools and its Patirthan temple.
-
Ujung Water Palace - Its name means “Garden at the End” or “Garden at the Edge”.
Built on 12 hectares (30 acres), the palace has three large pools. In the center pool there is the main building named Gili Bale (“island pavilion”), connected to the edge of the pool by a bridge; untypically of balinese bale, this building has walls and a distinct Dutch colonial white façade. Another distinctive trait is the use of concrete, then considered a new technology and another sign of Western influence.
One original building is the Bale Kapal, with a flight of stairs on the west side of the palace; it dominates the ponds and looks out across the entire gardens onto coconut groves, Ujung Beach and Mount Lempuyang beyond. - Virgin Beach - Virgin Beach is one of the most popular beach in Karangasem – East Coast of Bali. It has soft white sands and clear blue water. The entrance is IDR 10.000 per person (for foreign tourists, Aug 2020). The road to the beach is excellent, with lots of amazing views along the way!
There are many warungs and beach bars selling food and drinks along the beach. Sun loungers can be hired for an affordable price. Some restaurants offer body-massage that you can try if you want to.
The beach has intense waves, and rocks in the sand. You can swim here, however, no lifeguard on-duty so you must be very careful.
- Tukad Cepung Waterfall - Tukad Cepung Waterfall is a unique and photogenic waterfall in Bali, famous for the sunlight that penetrates the rock crevices, creating a dramatic light effect. The waterfall is about 15 meters high and resembles a giant curtain falling between the cliffs. Its location in Bangli makes it a popular tourist destination, especially for photography enthusiasts
- Goa Raja Waterall - The Goa Raja Waterfall is a recently discovered hidden gem in east Bali, just a short distance from the famous Tukad Cepung Waterfall.
This spot is pretty easy to reach from Ubud, and it has a big waterfall inside of a cave, just like the name implies (Goa Raja is Indonesian for ‘king cave’).
There’s even a small natural pool for swimming. All in all, we actually liked this waterfall better than Tukad Cepung, and of course there were way less tourists.
