His wife, Ayşe, manages cleaning, housing, and cooking with her assistant. Ayşe’s cheerful demeanor always delights guests. Her commitment to guest satisfaction is invaluable. She is well-organized and treats guests like family, preparing delicious local dishes. After a delightful dinner by Ayşe, enjoy freshly brewed organic tea made on a traditional village stove. Don’t miss the delicious yayla sütlacı (rice pudding) prepared by Ayşe. Relax in the cozy wooden rooms and unwind in the serene nature.

Pokut and Sal

Pokut Yaylası - The highland’s fresh air encourages early rising. Guests will likely wake with the sunrise. Head out to watch the sunrise from the hilltop above Pokut. Then, enjoy a hike along the highland before returning to the hotel for Ayşe’s incredible breakfast. Every item on the breakfast table has a rich history and significance. Ayşe meticulously prepares everything, including jam, cheese, organic butter, cream, cakes, and freshly milked milk. Enjoy a delightful breakfast with a variety of handmade foods.

Sal Yaylası - Embark on a hike to Sal Highland. Admire the beautiful wooden highland houses and observe goats and cattle, experiencing local life. Visit the highland cafe and meet the owner to learn about making organic food in the highland. Try their local sucuk. Spend time in Sal Highlands, then hike back to Pokut. In the evening, savor Ayşe’s delicious local dinner. Meet Yaşar at the hotel and join in singing local songs. Play the tulum and practice the horon dance together. This is a typical evening in Pokut, offering an in-depth local experience.

Pokut Yaylası - Explore the highland and meet the locals, especially Yaşar, the highland shepherd. He is dedicated to caring for his cattle and preserving the environment, kindly reminding visitors not to litter. His friendliness makes conversations enjoyable. Yaşar helps visitors understand the true highland culture. Another local, Macit, plays the bagpipe around the highland. When visitors arrive, he plays, and people start dancing the horon. Meet Macit and visit the Sunset Cafe at the hilltop. Enjoy tea and coffee, then swing over the clouds at Sunset Cafe. Let Macit play the bagpipe, and join in the horon dance. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to dance; it’s easy to learn. Practice the horon at the top of Pokut, where the bagpipe music perfectly complements the surroundings.

From Pokut to Hazindağ

Pokut Yaylası - After breakfast, embark on a hike to Hazindağ Highland, a 3-hour journey. Alternatively, opt for a jeep safari tour to Hazindağ.

Goodbye Pokut!

Pokut Yaylası - Today marks the final day of the tour. The owners are sad to say goodbye, so a grand finale night is planned. Enjoy tea and cakes, sing local songs, dance the horon, share funny stories, and exchange experiences. In the morning, enjoy a hearty breakfast and pack up. It’s time to bid farewell to Pokut, hoping to return someday. The journey back to Çamlıhemşin begins.
