- King Abdullah Mosque - Enjoy a stunning view of the city from the Citadel before visiting the King Abdullah Mosque, one of Amman’s most famous and recognizable landmarks. Built as a tribute to the late King Abdullah I, the Blue Mosque, as it is commonly known, is a prime example of Islamic architecture. It can accommodate up to 3,000 worshippers. The spacious, octagonal prayer hall is topped by a magnificent blue dome, 35 meters in diameter, adorned with “Qur’anic” inscriptions. This is the only mosque in Amman that openly welcomes non-Muslim visitors. There will be free time for prayer before continuing the pilgrimage tour.
- Sweimeh - To complete the Islamic tour, a visit to the “Sahaba Shrines” (Maqamat in Arabic) is essential. “Sahaba” refers to the companions of the Prophet Mohammad. The “Sahaba Shrines” are located on the hills of the Jordan Valley and are dedicated to five of the Prophet’s companions. Begin by visiting the “Shrine of Abu Ubaydah Amir ibn Al Jarrah,” followed by the “Shrines of Muadh ibn Jabal, Shurhabil ibn Hasana, Amr ibn Abi Waqqas, and Dhiraar bin Al-Azwar.” After completing the tour, guests will return to their hotel in Amman. This is an exceptional tour to complete an Islamic Pilgrimage!
