- Golden Temple - The centre/seat of Sikhism, the revered Golden Temple is an iconic place of worship. The spiritual vibe of the place can only be experienced, not explained. The beautiful lake around which devotees sit and say their prayers, the sound of the hymns or discourses can transport you to another realm. If you’re lucky, you can even see one of the largest community kitchens in India which serves food to all, free of cost, and which is run by devotees, volunteering their time and services. In Sikhism, this volunteer work is called “sewa.”
- Durgiana Temple - When you approach the temple, you’ll think it’s like the iconic Golden Temple, but this one is a Hindu temple, with its roots in Vedic times.
- Jallianwala Bagh - A Park (Bagh) that is steeped in the brutal colonial history of India. This is the place where General Dyer of the British Army opened fire on unarmed Indians and killed hundreds of them. The bullet holes in the walls and the well where many of them jumped to escape the bullets but were killed by drowning have been preserved, lest India forgets the price its people paid to get independence. A poignant visit to this park is a must see in Amritsar.
- The Partition Museum - A well maintained museum that has been curated to chronicle one of the bloodiest chapters in world history that led to the death of over 10 million people.
- Amritsar - We take you on a food tour like no other. Taste the wonderful Amritsari chhole kulche, lassis, kulfis and kachori aloo… A burst of flavours that your taste buds will remember for ever!
- Golden Temple - Evening hues of the Golden Temple are stunning.
