Our countryside bike tour, covering a total distance of 30 km (18 miles), offers a refreshing escape from the city. During this leisurely ride, participants will learn about Dutch history and the ongoing battle against water. The stunning landscapes, situated below sea level, can be observed firsthand while cycling over the embankments that keep the land dry.
The tour includes visits to charming farmer and fisherman villages, and a chance to see the “big five” of Holland on this Dutch safari (cows, cows, cows, cows, cows) ;)
Midway through the tour, there is a relaxing break to hydrate and enjoy the world’s best slice of apple pie in the picturesque village of Holysloot. This delightful treat provides the perfect energy boost to continue on to our favorite windmill in the region, a historic monument from 1792!
