Snacking in Amsterdam - We had a great time with Maria for a private tour. She asked us what we liked, gave us historical and local information, and was flexible for our needs. Amsterdam is a fabulous city!

Walking food tour - Maria was our guide. We had a wonderful time trying new flavours from the city and heard wonderful stories of the history of the different foods and the areas. Maria customized the food to our preferences. It was a wonderful experience and well worth the effort. Maria was a wonderful tour guide.

Delicious Food Tour! - When you have visited Amsterdam many times, what should you experience...a food tour of course! Gastrivino, a gourmet cheese shop was the first stop. Tried a range of aged Gouda - delicious. Next stop, kibbeling fried cod (instead of herring) - have not met a fried food that was not delicious. Stroopwafels at Hans Egstorf - the smell of cinnamon, clove and caramel had us upon walking into this beautiful shop. Cafe Hegeraad to taste apple cake and local beer while relaxing in the sunshine. Learned about Brown Pubs, hidden gardens and even found a hidden church! Stopped at Puccini Bomboni for some Dutch Pralines. We learned about sprinkles on bread with butter - a breakfast for champions! Walked the busy streets of the Jordaan Neighborhood to try some poffertjes and frites. No need for lunch today!! Maria, our guide. was knowledgeable, kind, and fun to be with. The tour was 3 hours and went very quickly another hour to learn more of the Dutch food favorites would be great!! Highly suggest this tour for a fun morning or afternoon. Bring your appetite.

Not the best food tour - As someone who loves food tours and has done quite a few around the world, I had high hopes for this food tour, but unfortunately it fell flat. The food was great, When they say “tastes” of Amsterdam, they really mean it. The portions were tiny—mostly shared—and for the price, I expected to feel at least close to full. In writing this review I’m realizing some of the stops were skipped on our tour: we never had the apple pie or Dutch chocolates. Our guide, Hessle, was friendly enough, but we ended up learning more about his failed music career than about Dutch culture or cuisine. Though he did give us a list of restaurant recommendations, which was helpful! Several times he left the group waiting while he settled bills with restaurants, which created awkward pauses in the tour. It really disrupted the flow and made the experience feel unpolished; management has a real opportunity for improvement here. Overall, it was an expensive and underwhelming experience that just didn’t live up to expectations.
