It was okay - I’ve done a few hop on/off buses and this was just okay. The audio was felt random and would start and stop so it didn’t feel like a cohesive experience. The audio was also off most of the time. So we had no idea what we were looking at. It’s also such a small city that idk if this tour is worth it.

Disappointing hop on hop off bus experience in Amsterdam - Booked the tickets online for the hop on hop off bus in Amsterdam. Took us an hour from the main station to get to bus stop 1 which was only a ten minute walk from where the taxi dropped us. We first went to lovers canal like it was instructed online and then they sent us to their ticket sale office opposite Saint Nicolas church and then they sent us all the way round with some unclear instructions only to find the bus stop 1 because of their flag we spotted . We only did one stop at the park because it was very hot and we were really tired by the time we got on the first bus. Both drivers were rude and when we asked the first driver about sth for the park he told us I’m not a guide. The second driver was also very rude… my husband has a problem with his knees and he was very careful when climbing up the bus and the bus driver was being super ironic and sarcastic telling him “we haven’t got all day” also he was taking on the phone when driving and he breaked two times really sharp and thank God we had our seat belts on. We didn’t do the last stop though I imagine it was because of traffic. It was the last bus on the 3rd of July. I’ve been to almost 10 hop on and off buses in Europe this was the first time I felt I welcomed in a European city by a bus driver. Amsterdam is a magical place… you should pick your drivers more carefully though

Absolutely terrible! - Signage is non existent. We had to ask 3 people where to get the bus. Finally got on the very 1st bus of the day and at stop #3 (Gassan Diamonds) the bus parked and waited for passengers to go in and come back. Not how hop on/off is supposed to work. We had a tour of Anne Frank home that we missed because we had to get off and walk. Tried to find a boat stop for that part of the tour and same thing....couldn't find it. We were unable to use either service; bus or boat. Total waste of money.

Very hard to find. - Very difficult to find the bus (we couldn’t after 30 minutes), missed the time, couldn’t get a refund. Won’t make this mistake again.

Save your time and money - not a good tour - Not worth the time or money. They had 1 bus running the full route so the wait time between buses was long. When the bus got to stop 1 it stayed parked for 30 minutes. Narrative was minimal and did not use time between stops to really talk about Amsterdam history. After the bus we didnt even bother with the boat tour. We have been on several good HOHO tours around the world but this one was poor.

A Total Waste of Time and Money - ★☆☆☆☆ 1/5 — A Total Waste of Time and Money I wish I could give this hop-on, hop-off bus tour of Amsterdam zero stars. Sadly, travel sites haven’t invented a "deep regret" rating — so one star it is. We booked this tour expecting a convenient and flexible way to explore the city. Which we have done in previous city breaks, what we got instead was an overpriced ride through frustration, boredom, and overheating. Let’s start with the wait times: The buses are advertised as arriving every 10–15 minutes. Reality? More like every 30–40, if at all. We sat on the bus in 30-degree heat while the driver had a break and then was changed for an alternative driver while sitting at the 1st stop this should have rung alarm bells. Traffic is a nightmare, but rather than helping you escape it, this tour immerses you in it. You’ll sit on the upper deck slowly baking in the sun while the bus crawls past landmarks you can barely see and stops seem so far away you don’t bother going back. The audio guide is a joke — and not the funny kind. It’s dated, dry, and frequently cuts out or plays over itself. What little commentary we did hear sounded like it was cobbled together from a Wikipedia page read by someone half-asleep. There’s also a weird musical interlude between stops that loops endlessly — imagine elevator music crossed with a dial-up modem. Bottom line: This tour takes everything wonderful about Amsterdam — its charm, walkability, and vibrant culture — and strips it away, replacing it with overpriced tedium. You’re far better off exploring on foot, renting a bike, or hopping on a tram. Trust me: nothing kills the magic of a city faster than being stuck in traffic with thirty other tourists, listening to static and bad music. Avoid at all costs.

The hop on hop off bus... - The hop on hop off bus service was very disappointing. The wait time to get on another bus to go to another site was extremely long. I would not recommend this service to visit different sites.

MUST READ!!!!!Cruise Ship Passengers be AWARE!!!!! - My experience was very disappointing. First, although the advertised operating hours are 10 a.m., I understood that, but since I was coming off a Carnival cruise ship at a different location with the same start time, I expected similar arrangements. They all knew the ship disembarks at 7:15 and began early to accommodate the influx of passengers. Second, we waited in line at Stop 1 for quite a while, with no clear indication of where to stand. When the workers finally arrived at 10:01 a.m., they divided the line, saying those to the right go first, and everyone to the left should line up behind them. Several of us had been waiting on the left side for some time, and by the time we got in line, we had to wait for the next bus. Third, most of the waiting passengers were from the cruise ship, and I’m sure the company is aware of the ship's arrival schedule. Instead of making passengers walk to Stop 1, it would have been better to start from Stop 2 at the cruise terminal. Fourth, one of the buses had a malfunction with the headset port, so for at least three stops before we disembarked, there was no audio. Since the bus was at full capacity, we couldn’t borrow another headset. Fifth, due to an insufficient number of buses, passengers sometimes had to wait a long time before returning to certain stops, causing significant delays. This affected our ability to do the canal cruise as planned. The late start also contributed to the overall timing issues, which is problematic when trying to meet cruise ship schedules.
