Disappointing - Very disappointing, kind of a waste of time and money. Have done the hop on hop off bus in other cities which was great but in Amsterdam... Not so much. Had to wait for 45 min in the summer sun (with a kid) to get on a bus, apparently the first bus was full. But instead of giving information, the staff was either ignoring questions or playing on their phones. The whole tour incl. the wait took us more than 2 h - time that we could have spent doing more interesting things. The boat option might be better.

Disappointing. - Very disorganised. Expected to be able to get on first available bus. Told to wait 1 hour while other buses came and went. Headphones did not work on first seat. Had to book a time for the canal cruise which required a long walk from the bus stop. Canal cruise did not follow route on map and did not stop anywhere despite map indicating several stops. Commentary on both was out of sync with actual sites.

More hop on if we bother to turn up - Got the bus in the morning which was fine but then decided to catch the boat back but it didn’t arrive at our stop so we had to walk from number 3 stop to number very poor service I am 70 with arthritis disappointing customer care

Very poor - That you dont have all the info required to coordinate. I am also going to request a full reimbursement of the amount paid. The boat part of the reservation is not available during this time of the year.

Terrible - Terrible service. No information about Amsterdam. Total waste of money and time. Do not go. Bus stops have no clear signage. Dirty buses. Just awful experience when we could have used the time for other worthwhile activities in Amsterdam.

1 Star – Rude Driver and Poorly Managed Service - I used the Hop On/Hop Off bus May 1–2, 2025, and it was a terrible experience. On Day 1, we were told to get off at the third stop due to a “traffic issue” and given no clear information about when another bus would arrive—just, “Your guess is as good as ours.” We had to make our own way back. Day 2 was worse. I asked the driver if we were at the stop for the Anne Frank House. He was rude, dismissive, and told me to “just get off.” Others asked too and were treated the same. Confused by conflicting stop numbers on the map, I hesitated—he shouted again. I got off, then quickly decided to re-board, only for him to close the door on my foot. When he reopened it, he started cursing and shouting about calling security. I stayed calm, but it was completely unacceptable. If you’re running a tour bus, you should be courteous and know the route. This was an upsetting and disappointing experience. I included his picture in this review. I wouldn’t recommend.

Terrible tour - Probably the worst hop on hop off tour I’ve ever done. Overpriced. Repetition of facts/lack of facts. Lots of adverts. Just generally terrible. Avoid

Disappointing - Really disappointed thought the information given was poor, it lasted no longer then 10mins and most of the audio was music! I was waiting for more history and information about Amsterdam but got more from a local canal tour I’d booked. Would not recommend this especially at the price of this trip!!

Worst Hop On Hop Off - I very seldom write a bad review because I am aware it can affect a person's business, but this was so bad that I felt I couldn't not write a review. I have been on quite a few Hop On Hop Off tours in various European cities. This one easily wins the prize for being the worst value for money. During the whole hour of the circuit, the commentary lasted around a total of six or seven minutes...... even that was basic and boring!! We also tried to get off at Sop 9 to walk to the Anne Frank Museum but the bus never stopped!! If the company is reading this, I hope that they contact me to offer me my money back. I can recommend the Amsterdam Circle Line canal trip where you will get more of a commentary in the first ten minutes that I got in the whole hour on the bus. What a contrast!!! You will miss nothing if you miss this tour.
