Excellent Riks Tour! - Had a great experience from start to finish! Anna did a tremendous job of making the tour engaging for our entire family. I much prefer to work directly with the guide, rather than a company subcontracting the work. Communication was excellent and pricing was very fair. Highly recommended!

Great day at the museum - We went to the Rijksmuseum not knowing whet to expect or whet we wanted to see. We had our children, 16 and 11, with us. Neither of them is necessarily interested in Dutch history or art. However, Anna did an amazing job of keeping us all interested and engaged with a sense of humor, and we came away with a much better knowledge of and appreciation for both. I would recommend her for this or any other tour.

We enjoyed our time at... - We enjoyed our time at the Rijksmuseum with Anna as our guide. Anna is knowledgeable, warm, and so friendly. She took us through the highlights and gave us so much insights in to the artwork-we would have missed these details without her with us! Thank you to Anna for a lovely afternoon at the museum.

Extremely informative and enjoyable! - We booked a tour of the Van Gogh Museum with Anna of Artsy Tours. She was so good we booked a tour of the Rijksmuseum the following day.
Anna is simply fantastic. She brings the museum to life by adding a wealth of background information to the exhibits and pointing out connections between paintings. She answered our many questions and provided an experience far beyond any written or audio tour. And she is a charming, engaging and positive person and is a joy to be around. I'm going to take some of her city tours next time I visit. You could not imagine a better person to enhance your experience in Amsterdam!
Also, I recommended her to some friends who visited not long after I did, and they had the exact same experience with her.

Superb Guide - Anna is an outstanding Dutch guide who lives near the museum. She asked if we had specific things we wanted to see (we did) but we also asked for her judgement on what else to see. A wealth of information. Seriously, she's like a walking encyclopedia. She guided us to exhibits I would have passed by and explained their importance. Her English is better than many native English speakers (not a high bar, I suppose, but she is more than fluent with perfect diction).
Sure, you can use one of those audio tour apps/devices but you can't ask it a question and it's hard to sort through thousands of exhibits that way. This is our first time using a service like this and I am an absolute believer now. This is her full-time job and I can see why - the tour was so good our group of 10 was falling over each other to give her large tips. Highly recommended.

Anna guided us expertly through the museum during our two-hour tour. She highlighted key pieces of importance to Dutch art and history. Her presentation of each was insightful, not only in regard to the artist's technique and style, but the symbolism imbedded and cultural significance of each piece, as well. We learned far more than we would have on our own.

History, arts brought to life - Anna walked us through the museum, bringing the group back in time, explaining the meanings of artworks and how people at the time in which they were made would interpret them. Very recommended, thank you Anna.
