For the Ultimate Canal Cruise, the luxury boats Stan Huygens and Pure Spirit are primarily used, as described below.
Stan Huygens:
- An iconic canal yacht, once a favorite and regularly chartered by Freddy Heineken
- Accommodates up to 24 guests
- Live commentary provided by your host and captain
- Open bar service managed by your host
- Windows and sunroof can be opened or closed depending on the weather.
Pure Spirit:
- A beautifully restored classic launch
- Accommodates up to 16 guests
- Live commentary provided by your captain
- Self-service open bar – the captain serves the first round, then guests can help themselves
- (Semi) open boat. Depending on the weather, the Pure Spirit will either be open or covered with a modular canopy.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Minimum drinking age is 18 year
- Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking
- Minimum cruising age is 14+
- This cruise is not suitable for stag parties/bachelorette parties. Please get in touch so we organize a private event.

Exceptional Experience - This is by far the nicest boat and crew on the canals. An elegant environment with great food and drinks along with expert guides providing the narrative along the way. Nathan was an excellent guide and host. This is the canal cruise to book.

Highly recommend - Great personalized experience. We had a small group of 8. Enjoyed cruising the canals in a lovely boat with cocktails and dessert. Very informative and professional yet friendly. Highly recommend.

Canal Cruise - Book this cruise! Fenton and Annabella were very informative of history around the canals and encouraged questions about different parts of Amsterdam. Kept our drinks full and yummy snacks.

Oliver was amazing. - Oliver and the tour were amazing. He knew so much of the history and related that to a lot of the history related to the US history. I would highly recommend THIS captain and this tour. It is a must if you come to Amsterdam.

A gorgeous boat and a delightful experience! - Captain Rick and our guide Barbora were phenomenal! The ride was both relaxing and informative and the local Dutch snacks and drinks (local craft beer plus a variety of wines and soft drinks) were delicious. A perfect way to spend a couple hours in Amsterdam!

2 hours in Amsterdam! - The entire experience was 5 star, Virginia was a great story teller, funny and charismatic. Joe was always making sure we were all taken care of, the cheese and the wine were both very good. It’s a great way to spend 2 hours in Amsterdam! Thanks everyone.

Not worth it - I booked this for my sister and I because i have taken canal tours on other visits to Amsterdam and thought it would be a fun way for my sister to see the city and learn more about it’s history. The boat itself was very nice but there was barely any commentary and we mostly just cruised around like a floating cocktail party. We were seated at a banquette table with 1 other person with one plate of snacks (cheese, crackers, grapes, olives, nuts, cookies) for the table. The man seated with us looked very dirty (greasy hair, dirty clothes) and he proceeded to touch everything on the plate. My sister and I didn’t want to even touch any of the food after he fingered everything. Very disappointed and, for the price, and i thought we should have been given a plate for the 2 of us. The tour hostess/commentator, was a young woman from Hungary who had been in Amsterdam for 3 years (student). She was pleasant but offered only minimal commentary on what we were seeing and very little history of the city. I wanted to treat my sister to a special experience and was very disappointed.
