Seward - Soldotna route
Soldotna - The adventure starts at the Seward head office. From there, travelers head to Lowell Point, the furthest point reachable by road, where kayaks are prepared and a safety briefing is conducted. Participants will then paddle along the western coast of Resurrection Bay, surrounded by coastal rainforest and intertidal ecosystems, with chances to spot sea otters, seals, bald eagles, and porpoises. Midway through the journey, there is a stop at a nearby beach to unwind, explore tidal pools, and stroll among Sitka’s spice forests. After the break, the group returns to Lowell Point and then to the Seward office. The crossing takes between 2 and 2.5 hours on the water, offering a full immersion in Alaskan nature. Finally, visitors can explore the port and downtown Seward, visit the Alaska SeaLife Center, or wander through Waterfront Park before proceeding to Soldotna and enjoying the views of the Kenai Peninsula.
