A Wonderful Way to Spend a Day in Anchorage - We only had 1 full day in Anchorage and wanted to get the most out of our visit so we booked this trip with Alaska Sites and Bites. Dan was our tour guide and since he is a local, he knows a lot about the area and the history of the town. We briefly toured around the town and then headed out toward the Wildlife Conservation Center. The scenery was stunning and Dan stopped along the way so we could take photos. At the center, he shared a lot of information about the conservation efforts and gave us the option to walk around or hop in and out of the van to see the different areas and animals. From there we went to Girdwood Brewery near the ski slopes and had a delicious lunch and sampled some beers. All of us had a great time. We highly recommend this tour!

Great experience! - Such a great experience! We didn’t rent a car so we booked this tour to go see the wildlife center. The weather was perfect, sunny and clear skies, and the animals were incredible. We saw black and brown bears in their dens, owls, musk ox, moose, caribou, wolves, foxes, etc. and learned a lot from our tour guide. On the way there and back we did a few stops to admire the nature and get pictures. After the Wildlife center, we went to a brewery that has rotating food trucks outside for lunch and a tasting. It was an enjoyable experience. Our tour guide was great and overall it was a wonderful experience. One thing that would’ve helped is if they reached out 1-2 days in advance via TripAdvisor message or text with details like confirming the pickup time and location. Not needed since they were on time and where they said they would be, but it usually helps with peace of mind.

Wildlife, food and beer - The entire tour was great! Our driver/guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We liked every part of this tour, the wildlife center, food and beer. The guide also suggested restaurants to try on our own (they also have a tour for foodies). Definitely recommend.

Bears and Beers! Oh my! - What a great day! Chris gave us a really unique experience with fantastic views and amazing storytelling. We loved getting close to the animals - this is probably going to be the closest we'll ever get to bears and wolves. Lunch and beer sampling at the brewery was such a nice way to end the trip especially with the new mascot! So adorable!!! Thank you Chris!

Rainy and worth it! - Seeing the Brown Bear up close while elk bugled and a huge V of migrating geese honked overhead. Magical. Also, baby Muskox. C'mon! Where else could this happen? Up close viewing of Explorer glacier and distant sights of beluga whale and Dall Sheep. Yes, please.
