This tour combines local Anchorage history with an ebike adventure. The ebikes provide a comfortable and leisurely ride, allowing participants to explore a significant portion of Anchorage city. A knowledgeable guide will lead the tour through Anchorage’s rich history, from pre-colonization to the modern day. Participants will learn about Anchorage’s transformation from a tent city labor camp to an aviation hub, its military expansion during World War II, and the oil boom of the 1980s.
The bike tour primarily follows Anchorage’s picturesque greenbelt trails, including the Coastal Trail. The route also includes the Campbell Creek and Chester Creek bike paths, where moose are frequently spotted. Belugas and bears have also been observed.
