- Anchorage - Begin your adventure in Anchorage with an exciting city tour, followed by a journey along the picturesque Seward Highway. This highway is a National Scenic Byway and one of only 13 highways in the U.S. recognized as an “All American Road.”
- Potter Marsh Bird Sanctuary - Located at the southern end of the Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge, Potter Marsh is a perfect getaway for bird enthusiasts and wildlife watchers. Just before the left turn into the Potter Marsh parking lot from the Seward Highway, enjoy a breathtaking view of Turnagain Arm. A wooden boardwalk extends 1,550 feet from the parking area through the marsh, offering a habitat rich in bird diversity. From late April to September, the wetland hosts Canada geese, northern pintails, canvasback ducks, red-necked phalaropes, horned and red-necked grebes, and northern harriers. Use binoculars or a spotting scope to find eagle nests in the cottonwoods near the bluff’s base.
- Beluga Point - Beluga Point Site is an archaeological treasure along Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since March 30, 1978. The artifacts found here, dating back 8,000–10,000 years, are believed to be the oldest evidence of human habitation in the Anchorage municipality. Beluga Point is also a prime spot for wildlife viewing, where beluga whales can be seen from July to August as they visit Cook Inlet to feast on the Pacific salmon run.
- Turnagain Arm - Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Turnagain Arm, a stunning Alaskan landscape teeming with wildlife such as Dall sheep, mountain goats, moose, beluga whales, black bears, and various migratory bird species.
- Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center - For an additional fee, visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a nonprofit organization committed to preserving Alaska’s wildlife through conservation efforts. The center provides care for injured and orphaned animals year-round, offering them spacious enclosures and quality care.
- Girdwood - Girdwood is a charming resort town located within the southern part of the Municipality of Anchorage. Nestled in a valley in the southwestern Chugach Mountains, Girdwood is surrounded by seven glaciers that feed into numerous creeks, which either converge within the valley or flow directly into the arm.
- Exit Glacier - Exit Glacier, originating from the Harding Icefield in the Kenai Mountains of Alaska, is a major attraction of Kenai Fjords National Park. It is one of the most accessible valley glaciers in Alaska and serves as a visible indicator of glacial recession due to climate change.
- Alaska SeaLife Center - Situated on the shores of Resurrection Bay in Seward, the Alaska SeaLife Center is a public aquarium and the only permanent marine mammal rehabilitation facility in Alaska. Opened in May 1998, it is dedicated to understanding and preserving Alaska’s marine ecosystem through research, rehabilitation, conservation, and public education.
- Seward - Conclude your tour with a drop-off in Seward. Your private tour guide can tailor the schedule, duration, and activities to suit your preferences. Please mention any special requests you have. You can customize the day and start time of your tour to fit your schedule and interests. Amazing personalized tour - We were fortunate enough to have Phil V. as our tour guide. He knows everything about Alaskan history, hiking, restaurants, wildlife, and more. We have never had a better guide. It was luck that put us together for 3 1/2 days. We enjoyed every minute with him. He took all the stress out of our first trip to Alaska.

Great way to see Alaska to Seward. - We were picked up at 9:00am by our driver Bill. He had a big van/bus and it was just us. Bill was friendly and knowledgeable. An Ohio transplant that’s been in Alaska 28 years. His love of the state and the job shined through. We drove through various areas of Anchorage and made several stops for pictures. We made our way to the Alyeska Ski resort and rode the Tram to the top. It was great. We had lunch up there and then we were on the road again. We stopped at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and saw our first Moose! Several bears and other native wildlife. It was an enjoyable stop. The Seward highway is gorgeous. All along the water with endless mountains and several glaciers. We took a quick drive through the two downtown areas of Seward before being dropped off at our hotel.

A Great Finish to our Alaskan Vacation - I found Greatland based on TripAdvisor reviews and we were not disappointed!!! The communication from beginning to end was friendly, prompt and thorough. The price was certainly competitive with the cruise excursion options. Bill, our tour guide, was phenomenal!!! Extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We were spontaneous in picking and choosing to see the sites along the way. Bill knew the ones not to miss! We even ended our day in Anchorage with stops at two incredible breweries for late lunch and happy hour simply because it had come up in casual conversation during the course of the day.

This is so well worth the money for... -
This is so well worth the money for a family. Having a full day before our cruise left gave us the opportunity to see some of Anchorage before starting out toward Seward. Our driver Bill couldn't have been nicer. He did everything we wanted him to do including stopping downtown for a little shopping. Also we got a discount stopping at the Wildlife Conservation Center. When we got to Seward we had a few minutes and he even drove us downtown to stop in a store so we could get a couple of items from Seward. I am so glad I got the private car and not just a bus ride.
