Great tour! Moose sighting! - Our driver Corey picked us up at the cruise terminal right on time, then treated us to a full day tour from Whittier to Anchorage. We saw glaciers, visited an animal rehab center, stopped at a great place in Girdwood for lunch, with a cool coffee/gift shop nearby. A short hike to see a waterfall was next, then we saw a moose walk right by our van! The entire time, Corey regaled us with info & stories about Anchorage. Great guide & a fun group. Highly recommended!

Great tour with a wonderful guide!!! - Wonderful way to see Alaska on land after a week-long cruise. If you’re going to have to make the trip from Whittier to Anchorage, you might as well enjoy it and see all that you can. Our tour guide, Dan, couldn’t have been more nice and accommodating. This was a definite highlight of our trip!!!

Highly Recommend! - Our day with Welcome Anchorage was a fantastic way to end our cruise! They were so accommodating to our two families. We had different flights home and Welcome Anchorage worked with us to drop off the early group and take the later group around for lunch and sightseeing. After the chaos of exiting the cruise ship and having to wait in a crowded warehouse, it was such a relief to see Jenny pull up right on time in a beautiful van pulling a trailer to accommodate all our luggage. From the first moment we met, Jenny was kind and positive. The van was spacious and clean and each person was welcomed with a small backpack full of snacks and water. What a nice touch and so perfect for our always hungry teenagers! As we drove, Jenny took the time to get to know each person in the van by name. Jenny told us about what we were seeing and pointed out interesting sights. Our first stop was the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. We were very lucky and got to see many animals up close, including brown and black bear, moose, wolves, wood bison and the cutest baby musk ox, to name a few. Jenny was great and really knew her way around the center. I also appreciated that she was always clear on the timeframe we were working with to get family #1 to the airport by 12:00. She communicated well about how long we had at each animal viewing area. As we headed to the airport, she told us more about Alaska and Anchorage. After dropping off the first group at the airport, she gave my family many options of places to eat lunch and things we could do in the 4 hours we had in Anchorage. We had a fantastic lunch overlooking the seaplane "runways," went to the Ulu factory, enjoyed some local ice cream, walked in the beautiful earthquake park and finally headed to the airport via a few more sights. We loved Jenny so much and felt like family by the end of the day! Based on our positive experience, I highly recommend Welcome Anchorage!

Fabulous day tour up the Turnagain Arm to Anchorage - Highly recommend this transport/tour for anyone post-cruise from Seward or Whittier to a night flight out of Anchorage. We had such an awesome time exploring the Turnagain Arm. Our guide was Don, he was such a gem with a wealth of knowledge, fun facts on so many subjects about Alaska and beyond. Super polite and courteous about what kind of experience we wanted from the day! The Byron Glacier hike was closed for a bear feeding nearby. Although Don did not have any trouble filling out our day with photography, restroom and food stops… including fireweed honey ice cream in Girdwood. We really had such a perfect day! The owners were also so accommodating with our last minute booking due to our change of plans. And, graciously provided road trip snacks!!! Five stars from Arizona, definitely pass on the cruise coach for this adventurous experience. #alaska #cruise #alaskaconservationcenter welcomeanchoragetours

Great Tour - Fantastic tour and gave us an opportunity to see a few more sights after disembarking from a cruise. We were drawn to this excursion because we could be dropped off at the Anchoarge Airport at the end of the tour. Parker, our tour guide, is personable knowledgeable and provided recommendations for local activities. The transit van was clean and comfortable. This is a private tour which is convient for a small group. The cost was comparable to a regular whittier to anchorage bus transfer but included extra time to take in scenic glaciers, wildlife conservation center, beluga point and the Ulu factory.

Stops were not as... - Stops were not as advertised; tour guide's commentary wasn't always accurate. On the upside, the lunch stop and unscheduled airport side-visit were great. Charged more than advertised price.

Rude and Condescending - The guy who picked us up was disappointing. Our tour was supposed to be from 9am to 3pm and it felt like he was rushing us the whole time. He was also rude and condescending with the questions we asked. In addition, some of the things he was telling us seemed off so we looked some different things up and what he was telling us wasn't true. I'm sure the company might be fine, but our particular person (I can't remember his name, but he had just finished his master's last week) was not good. We would ask normal questions and he would respond with "Nobody just hits their head and ends up in Alaska. If you don't understand that I don't know what else to tell you" and then would eventually get back to the questions. Our group was not impressed!
