Participants will traverse snow-covered spruces while observing wildlife. There might be sightings of the “American Dipper” swimming in a geothermal-heated, unfrozen tributary, or encounters with moose and small mammals like the snowshoe hare or red fox. Perhaps even a porcupine! Additionally, there is the unique opportunity to hike on the frozen Eagle River, which is truly an unforgettable experience!
The second segment involves a brief ride to Barbara Falls, the premier waterfall in Chugach State Park. This part includes a short half-mile walk showcasing stunning ice dams, sparkling snow crystals, and numerous photo opportunities at every turn.
