• Anchovy - Established in 1952 by Lisa Salmon, affectionately known as the “Bird Lady,” this bird sanctuary welcomed visitors starting in 1958. A variety of bird species visit daily, offering delightful interactions with guests. Enjoy watching the birds as they eagerly fly around, ready to perch on your finger while sipping nectar from a handheld bottle, or observe a finch happily eating from your palm.

Discover numerous bird species, including the Jamaican Oriole, the Doctor Bird (Jamaica’s national bird), White-Winged Dove, Finches, Red-Crowned Woodpecker, and many more! It’s important to note that these birds are not caged; they are wild birds that visit the sanctuary daily to feed and engage with visitors. After approximately an hour with the birds, the bird keeper will guide you on a brief walk through the woods, highlighting various local trees and plants. You might even spot a Barn Owl resting among the branches! This tour is truly a dream come true for nature enthusiasts.
