Highly recommended! - Piumi and family were very inviting, happy to book us in at late notice after another cooking class cancelled the night before. Piumi is very knowledgeable and happy to answer all questions and was excellent helping my 9yo son who enjoyed all the dishes we cooked. A fantastic experience and highly recommended.

The best cooking experience! - A wonderful experience and honestly a must do in Sri Lanka! Made such a great spread of homely sri lankan cooking, learning lots about local spices and the use of coconut milk. Super informative, easy to follow instructions with the nicest atmosphere. The couple that runs it are very hospitable and armed us with an array of additional Sri Lankan recommendations. A core memory unlocked!

A Delicious Dive into Sri Lankan Culture with Chef Piumi - My wife and I, visiting from Chennai, India, recently took a cooking class with Colombo Cooking Class, and it was an incredible experience! Chef Piumi, who hosted us in her lovely home, was very sweet and patient, guiding us through each step with great care. We learned to cook 10 authentic Sri Lankan dishes—one chicken dish and nine delicious vegetarian dishes. The entire experience was hands-on, from chopping vegetables to cooking in traditional clay pots. Piumi’s thorough explanations and guidance made the session both educational and fun. The flavors were absolutely fantastic, and we left with full stomachs and happy hearts. If you’re visiting Sri Lanka, I highly recommend this class – it’s totally worth it!

Highly recommend this wonderful cooking class!!!! - We absolutely loved this cooking class! From our prompt pickup and great communication, to the lovely drive up to the house for the class. We made a total of 11 curries and they were all delicious! Our hosts were so gracious and we all had a wonderful time!

An authentic cooking class - Thanks to Piumi who opened the doors of his home and kitchen located 30 minutes by tuk tuk from my hotel in downtown Colombo. Very welcoming and kind, she masters Sri Lankan cuisine to perfection. She gave us a tailor-made course, with all the step-by-step explanations on ingredients and cooking. We ended up around his table with all the ready meals and it was incredible, a real treat! Probably the best combination of curry I’ve ever eaten and I was able to bring a portion back to my spouse for him to drop, he feasted. Many thanks to Piumi and her family for this beautiful culinary break from my stay in Sri Lanka! Initially I had to cancel my first booking because my son was ill and she offered me an individual course, finally there were two of us with Martin from Berlin and it was a very good time!

Highly recommend this cooking class - We had really great experience with the cooking class of Piumi. It was super nice to be invited to the family home and learn how to cook a proper Sri Lankan dinner. Piumi gave a really good explanation for the cooking and the food was super delicious. It was an amazing start to our Sri Lanka trips Also, it was made sure that we were safely brought back to our hotel in Colombo by tuk tuk, thanks for that!
