Relaxed and Very Informative - Wonderful Tour! - Ricardo was a fantastic guide. Very relaxed and very easy going. The tour was set at a gentle pace where you could appreciate the city and all it's rich history while Ricardo gave you all the information you could ask for. You could tell how much he appreciated Angra do Heroísmo and was excited to share everything about the city. The focus on having small groups made the tour much more personal. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

Ricardo is the best - I give Ricardo 10 stars. It was an excellent tour and I learned so much about the history of Terceira and Angra. I had to rebook the time because of a conflict with another tour and Ricardo was extremely accommodating. I highly recommend this tour.

Excellent - During this walking tour you are transported back in time to learn how people lived and worked and what was important to them then and how it’s shaped the island today. Ricardo has a way of transporting you back in time and then bringing you back in a way that ties everything you learned back together. His passion for history shines through in all the interesting facts and stories, making it so easy to imagine what life was like throughout time in this city. A fantastic experience.

Disappointing and Disorganized Walking Tour - I've done many walking tours through Viator and generally have great experiences, but this one fell short. Our guide, Ricardo, spoke in a very low voice and directed most of his commentary to whoever was standing next to him rather than addressing the group. This made it hard for many of us to hear or follow along, especially in a group setting. Several people in our group were older adults and moved at a slower pace, but Ricardo often started talking before everyone had caught up, which felt inconsiderate. We also had unscheduled stops — one midway for a bathroom break, and another at the end due to someone experiencing back pain. While it's understandable that people need breaks, the guide did not manage the timing well, and we lost about 20 minutes to a coffee stop that wasn’t part of the advertised itinerary. Most disappointing of all, we never actually walked through the town . The tour didn’t deliver. Overall, this felt disorganized and uninspiring — not up to the usual Viator standards.
