Super fun and special! - Sand boarding was quite daunting to me at first, but the team at Sand Dune Safaris were a bright spot in an otherwise cloudy day. I would 100% suggest anyone try this unique activity. You can sit down or stand up, and they have different levels of slope for how comfortable you are. Prepare to get sandy and a good glute workout as you climb back up the dunes. I spent an hour and a half sand boarding but you could stay as long as you wanted and they had a shade sanctuary. I’m so happy I decided to give this experience a go!

Definitely worth to try - Worth to try. Super safe, slopes are not big. Very convenient as you spend as much time as you want. Shades are especially appreciated as you can sit and have a rest during hot summer.

Amazing sand Dunes experience! - The sand Dunes were spectacular! Love the 4WD rides and the sand boarding sessions. Every staff members were friendly and nice. It can get super hot and be at risk of heatstroke from the activities. Pls take lots of drinking water, a cup and shades for protection .

Nice affordable experience - It's a fun experience the 4wd ride to the dunes is nice itself taking in the landscape. I went down the slopes about 10 times after that I was tired of walking back up the slopes. There's a marquee with chairs you can sit for a break and I believe there was water for $1 per bottle but I'd recommend bringing your own just incase, also a hat and sunscreen. It's a nice thrill surfing down the dunes I recommended checking it out

Dessert experience - It was spectacular scene. Friendly staffs, great 4WD journey. It was extremely hot, hat is essential. I couldn’t last long here with the heat. The sands just burned my foot. Probably spring time or autumn would be better. A must visit while you’re in port stephens.

The activity was great... - The activity was great except that on the day of visit it was too much windy. Goggles or sun glasses is needed.

The spot wasn't good - The sandboarding location with this operator wasn't good. Few meters further was another company on a better spot (better for sliding and photos), but we were not allowed to go on other dunes. So no, I'm not happy with my choice.
