THE PICASSO MUSEUM
In 1920, Pablo Picasso arrived in Antibes for a summer retreat and began painting in the Château Grimaldi, which later became the renowned Picasso Museum. The museum boasts one of the largest collections of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and drawings by the Spanish artist. The permanent collection features over 245 works by Picasso, spanning from 1919 to 1946. (Entrance not included: 8 euros) After the guide’s explanations, there will be free time.

• Palais des Festivals et des Congres of Cannes - Travel to Cannes for a photo opportunity in front of the Cannes International Film Festival, one of the most prestigious in the world. (No visit possible, as the palace is closed to the public) The history of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes is closely tied to that of the Film Festival. Before a dedicated building was constructed, the initial ceremonies were held in the old Cannes casino. The new building was inaugurated on 09/11/1949, initially known as Palais Croisette. It was replaced in 1983 by a new palace after the roof of the old one was damaged by a violent storm towards the end of the Festival. The new and final palace was built on the site of the old casino and inaugurated in December 1982. It also hosts events such as the International Musical Publishing Market, MIPCOM, and the NRJ Music Awards.

• Le Suquet - Enjoy free time to explore the Suquet district, which means “summit” in Provençal, a name that is quite fitting! Experience the Old Town of Cannes by wandering through this shaded area, offering much-needed coolness during the hot summer days. Explore the narrow, steep streets of the old town and browse the seasonal stalls. If desired, climb up to the Notre-Dame d’Espérance church and take in the most cinematic view of the city.

• La Croisette - Integral to the identity of Cannes, the Boulevard de la Croisette is a long promenade lined with palm and pine trees, reminiscent of the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. This elegant venue seamlessly connects the beach and the city. On one side, there are fine sandy beaches, while on the other, there are numerous luxury brands, as well as large hotels and palaces.

A visit to Cannes is incomplete without a stroll along the Croisette. This iconic walk stretches along the bay of Cannes for three kilometers. Under the warm sun of southern France, it creates a postcard-worthy landscape.
