Pacaya Volcano stands as one of Guatemala’s most active volcanoes, reaching an elevation of about 2,500 meters above sea level. The surrounding landscape features lush forests and rocky terrain. Visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the Calderas Lagoon from their ATVs, along with vistas of three other volcanoes: Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. This exceptional adventure involves riding ATVs from San Vicente Pacaya to various locations around the Pacaya Volcano. Participants will explore numerous trails leading to villages at the volcano’s base, where they can hike up the side of the volcano on the petrified lava flow as far as they wish. Throughout the tour, there are opportunities to admire diverse views of the volcanoes and drive through several villages. The journey includes navigating off-road trails and experiencing the volcanic sand and lava fields within a private plantation.
Please note, the tour does not include a visit to the San Vicente Pacaya National Park.
