Good day trip - Well organized day tour of Antwerp. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, pleasant and multilingual for those that did not speak English. The pace of the tour was good and there was free time to have lunch and explore. Good day trip

TRAVEL TO ANTWERP 19.09.2024 - A very pleasant and instructive visit to Antwerp. Our guide Edwin, attentive and friendly making us an unconventional and especially pending tour of the group, which is very thankful since the journey from Brussels is by train and is complicated, since the language is Flemish and if unknown is complicated the trip. Gracias Edwin.

The Best way to see Antwerp!!! - My wife and I were in Brussels and wanted to see Antwerp. We found this tour that picked us up less than 1000ft from our hotel and took us all the way there and back. Yasmine was our tour guide and was extremely knowledge about the city, its history and all its famous landmarks, paintings, statues and buildings. The tour was both in English and Spanish, so feel free to book if you speak either language. I think Yasmine also speaks French, but she didn't during the tour. The tour was a little longer than it advertises due to traffic. We started out at 9:30am and got dropped off at 5:30pm. The city itself is really pretty with all kinds of modern shopping options available, a train station that will rival any Catholic Church in the world, several famous statues and a ton of restaurants. We had some free time in the middle of the day so we decided to eat in the Vlaeykensgang alley, which is a quaint little combination of restaurants and residences that dates back to the 15h century. We also go to do some shopping in the area for our grand niece which was great as well. We would highly recommend going on this tour if you are looking for a day tour of Antwerp.

Beautiful city, excellent guide. - EXCELENT GUIDE. Very knowledgeable and informative, even though she had to juggle three languages. She made the tour worthwhile, gave all the important directions to sites. See in detail the cathedral with 4 Rubens paintings. The rest of the city is nice and easy to see in the allotted time. What a difference a guide makes!

Great way to see Antwerp! - If you are truly trying to see as much of Belgium as possible, you have to make sure you visit Antwerp. Let me start by saying that I can’t say enough good things about this tour operator. I used them for all my day trips in Brussels and they were amazing. Nice greeters, good drivers, great tour guides and clean buses. As a solo female traveler, I felt 100% safe in their care. Yasmine was a great guide. The tour was in multiple languages, and she approached that differently than the other guides I experienced. The other guides would explain something fully in English and then move to the other language. Yasmine would switch languages sentence by sentence, so you actually have to listen and pay attention the whole time. The drive to Antwerp is short, and we went straight to Centraal Station. It was stunning. Truly a site to behold! After giving us a brief walk through and details, Yasmine gave us about 20 minutes to explore the station and use the rest room. Then we started our full walking tour of the city. Yasmine didn’t use the headphones like other guides did, which meant you had to stay close to her. I didn’t mind this, but I am a little bit of a picture taking wanderer, so it did mean that I missed some details on what we were seeing. The walking tour was great and Yasmine is full of great information. After about 90 minutes of walking, we were given 2.5 hours of free time. I wish I had done more research on what to do in Antwerp. But, the square was beautiful to wander around and eat and shop. I did go down to the port and the small Antwerp Museum there, where they do have a Rubens painting on display so that was a nice surprise. The diamond museum and the cathedral were both near the drop off point (each costing 12 Euro extra), but I wasn’t interested in either of them enough to do that. When we met, Yasmine gave us another short walking tour through another neighborhood before taking us to the bus, where we then did a nice driving tour of the massive harbor. This tour ended at National Bank in Brussels rather than Centraal Station as listed which was a little odd and threw my evening plans out of whack. Overall, though, I’m glad I experienced Antwerp.

OK, but could have been better - The guide was very good in providing a lot of information relative to both the history and culture of Belgium, as well as descriptions of the sights. Not sure if Antwerp would be my first choice for a longer visit, and the amount of free time during the tour was substantial but not very useful: we weren’t sure what options were available, where we would get information/history about any of those options, or how we would get to them.

Looking for Diamonds - This is an easy trip to make from Brussels. I may have over-anticipated, but I was expecting more from the visit. When you think of Antwerp, generally your first thought is of diamonds. The diamond portion of this trip was walking down a sidewalk, peering into jewelry store windows like I can do at home. And that was on the way to the train station where we got about 10 minutes to look at its blend of old and new architecture but not much about history. My wife and I had a wonderful breakfast which included our first Belgian waffle. Our guide gave us a great tour of the city's history, which included interesting elements from across the centuries. It's an inexpensive tour and gives the traveler another look at some of the many areas in and around Brussels. If you just want to hit the highlights, this tour will do it. If you are really interested in learning about Antwerp's military and commerical history, a personal guide would be a better bet.
