Engaging Guide, Candy and prizes! - Luc D was a great guide. Knew lots about the city and answered all our questions. Would gladly join one of his tours again. He had lots of visuals and maps to support what he was telling us about the city historically and he even gave out candy for right answers. He was fun and made it a little competition where person at the end with most right answers got a prize.
They just happened to be a free music festival going on in the Square where our tour was to start. It was a little bonus that we got to hear some live music and Luc D explain to us the history behind the festival and its name.
Two tips: Tips for guides must be in cash. I wish this info was made clearer on the website, maybe added to the FAQs. The rest of our travels in Europe have been essentially cashless and we’ve been using our phone to pay for everything. We didn’t have any Euros. Guide stopped by an ATM for us but the machine wouldn’t read any of our cards saved to our apple wallet, debit or credit. Another traveler on the tour allowed us to PayPal him and then he got cash for us out of the machine.
Second, as mentioned in the tour description it does go through the red light district. We knew this when booking, but having never been to a red light district before didn’t fully understand what we would see. Luc D was great in giving us the option before we entered to walk around and meet at the other side as we had kids with us age 9 and 12. Having now been through the red light district I probably would have walked around with my youngest. Nothing too graphic about the women in the windows themselves, but their clothing was definitely risqué and prompted some questions. When booking I thought well since they let you bring kids on the tour and don’t mention any age requirements. It’s probably OK. And for some families, it probably is. Not a dealbreaker at all just something to be mindful of if you’re coming from a country or culture where this is not something you encounter.

Luc D the best! Must book experience! - I had the pleasure of joining Luc D’s walking tour in Antwerp, and it was an absolute highlight of my visit. Luc is not only knowledgeable but also a natural storyteller—he brings the city’s history, art, and architecture to life in a way that feels both engaging and effortless.
The pace of the tour was just right, with plenty of time to appreciate the details that might otherwise go unnoticed. Luc’s passion for Antwerp shines through in every stop, whether it’s pointing out hidden gems, sharing fascinating anecdotes, or highlighting the city’s cultural treasures.
What made the experience extra special was Luc’s personal touch—he happily answered questions, tailored parts of the walk to our interests, and made sure everyone felt included. By the end, I felt I had discovered a deeper, more authentic side of Antwerp.
If you want more than just sightseeing, but a real connection to the city through the eyes of someone who loves it, I can’t recommend Luc D highly enough.

best tour - We had a wonderful tour of Antwerp with our guide Luc D;a charming gentleman in his seventies. He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience both fun and insightful. Luke shared fascinating stories about the city, its history, and hidden gems, always with a warm smile and great sense of humor. To top it all off, our group even won the prize of the candies, which made the day extra special. Highly recommended!

Dark sides of Antwerp with Luc D. - Maybe I wrote my feedback with the small delay, but I still want to to thank you, Luc D, for your great two hours guided tour in the evening Antwerpen.
Guys, if you are already there or going to visit this city I will strongly recommended you to sign up and go to the evening guided excursion with Luc D. He told me not only historical facts, but also legends and even some funny stories about the old part of the city. Besides he shows me some city conners, which I couldn't even imagine going myself. Also Luc knows the best viewing rooftops, when you can enjoy very nice and romantic view to the city harbor.
And personally this guide is humorous and nice person, big fan if his city.
He even gave me a piece of advice, how can I find a new job in Antwerp in the industrial area.
Thank you very much, Luc, for the great evening tour, which suddenly became individual. I wish you all the best!

Must-do experience - Our guide was Luc D. The had all the components needed for a good tour: a lot of interesting information, a lot to see, jokes not to be boring, recommendations where to eat etc. at the end.
If you have doubts which tour to choose, this one or day tour, don't doubt, go to both of them! they are very different!

Well worth the time - Our host was an excellent story teller, who kept it light and quick while imparting enough history and context to better understand the city. He was charming with a great sense of humor. It was a large group but was easy to hear the host.

Educational tour (also for locals)! - Had a very nice tour with Arie! We are from Antwerp (/surrounding area), but have learned a lot. Our guide seemed like an infinite vessel of knowledge, who could give a good answer to any question. Definitely recommended!

Informative and Fun Walking Tour - Our guide was Beren and he was so knowledgeable, friendly, interesting and fun. He was more than happy to answer any questions and there was nothing he didn't know. We were only in Antwerp for one day and it was just the best way to see the highlights of the city in such a short space of time. Just be aware though, this is not a 'round trip' so you end up somewhere different to where you started! Not a problem for us but we should've read the details better! All in all, I would highly recommend this tour!
