Negombo - Anuradhapura

Sri Maha Bodhi Temple - 06:00: Guests will be collected from their hotel in Negombo and transported to Anuradhapura (approximately a 4-hour drive).

Upon arrival in Anuradhapura, visitors can explore the oldest historically documented tree in the world, the Sacred Bo tree, which is over 2000 years old and grown from a branch of the tree under which the Buddha achieved enlightenment.

Ruwanwelisaya - The perfection and scale of the stupas or relic chambers such as Ruwanwelisaya, Abhayagiriya, and Jetavanaramaya, which are the largest globally, are astonishing, with the latter competing with the largest pyramids at a height of 122 meters.

Samadhi Statue - Additionally, explore the remains of the Brazen Palace, The Twin Ponds, and the Samadhi Buddha, recognized as a masterpiece. Other highlights include the Isurumuniya temple with the finest rock carvings in the country, The Moonstone, The Guard stones, and the Thuparama and Lankaramaya Dagobas.

Anuradhapura - Wilpattu - Negombo

Wilpattu National Park - 08:00: After breakfast, guests will be driven to Wilpattu National Park for an unforgettable game drive.

A safari in Wilpattu is distinct from other major national parks. Visitor numbers are very low, and even during peak season, it’s common to see only a few tourist jeeps in the park at any given time. The park’s unique feature is the presence of “Willus” (natural lakes), which provide Wilpattu with a wonderful and authentic wilderness atmosphere.
