Then, embark on the kayaking adventure! This area is a national park featuring a complex network of rivers, inlets, and limestone caves. It is one of Thailand’s earliest human settlement sites, rich in archaeological treasures, artifacts, and cave drawings. Kayak through the stunning nature of Ban Bor Thor, passing mangroves and local fishermen, while the guide explains the various sights.
10:40: The first stop is Tham Lod cave, which will be explored by kayak. Discover the limestone formations within the cave and take photos if desired. The calm waters make for easy paddling. The cave is adorned with stalactites and stalagmites, which the guide will elaborate on.
- Pee Hua Toe Cave - 11:10: The second stop is the ancient Tham Pee Hua Tho cave. Disembark from the kayak and explore the cave on foot. Inside, observe ancient paintings over 3,000 years old. This cave is one of Krabi’s most renowned and is a must-visit, having sheltered humans for millennia. It is also believed to have been a burial site over 3,000 years ago, as several large skulls were discovered here. Capture photos and learn about the cave’s history. Afterward, return to the kayak and paddle back to the camp.
