- St Conan’s Kirk - St Conan’s Kirk is a hidden treasure located on the shores of Loch Awe. This remarkable building boasts unique architectural features, complemented by its surroundings, offering a profound sense of tranquility and spirituality.
- Kilchurn Castle - Our next stop is a viewpoint for capturing photos of this iconic 15th-century castle. Unfortunately, the castle is currently closed for conservation work.
- Inveraray Castle - We will visit Inveraray Castle, the residence of the Clan Chief of Clan Campbell - the Duke of Argyll. (Open Thursday to Monday and closed for winter from November to March.)
Alternatively, you and your group can explore Inveraray town, which offers breathtaking views of Loch Fyne.
- Rest and be Thankful - After Loch Fyne, we will pause at the Rest and Be Thankful viewpoint. Offering stunning views of Glen Croe and the old military road, this is one of Scotland’s most renowned viewpoints.
- Inveruglas - Upon reaching Loch Lomond, the largest loch in Scotland by surface area, we will stop at the Inveruglas viewpoint to enjoy the scenic views of the loch.
- The Drovers Inn - For an authentic pub experience at lunchtime, look no further than the Drover’s Inn. Established in 1705, this inn was a traditional stop for drovers (Scottish ‘cowboys’) who herded cattle from the highlands to the lowlands.
The Drover’s Inn is also reputed to be the most haunted pub in Scotland!
- Loch Tulla Viewpoint - This picturesque viewpoint offers everything needed for a perfect Highlands photo: lochs, forests, and mountains.
- Rannoch Moor - We will drive past the breathtaking Rannoch Moor, the largest bog expanse in the UK. Many films and TV series, including the Harry Potter films, were shot here.
- The Three Sisters - One of the day’s main highlights is a stop at the Three Sisters of Glencoe viewpoint. These are Scotland’s most famous (and most photographed) mountains. The valley is rich in history, as it was the site of the 17th-century MacDonald Massacre during the Jacobite Uprisings.
- Glencoe - Continuing through the Glencoe Valley, we can make additional photo stops (time permitting) before returning to Fort William along Loch Leven and Loch Linnhe.
