- Temple of Zeus - Constructed in the 5th century BC, the Temple of Zeus was the largest in the Peloponnese and served as an architectural model for Greece’s iconic Parthenon in Athens. In antiquity, it housed the gold-and-ivory statue of Zeus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
- Temple of Hera - This is the oldest temple at the Olympic site, built in the 7th century BC to honor Hera, the wife of Zeus. In the early AD years, it functioned as a museum, displaying various antiquities, including the nearly intact marble statue of Hermes by Praxiteles, a masterpiece from the 4th century BC, now exhibited in the Archaeological Museum of Olympia. The Temple of Hera also hosts the Olympic torch lighting ceremony.
- Stadium at Olympia - The largest ancient Greek stadium, it could accommodate 45,000 spectators and was the venue for the ancient Olympic Games. Located at the base of Kronion Hill, it remains preserved as it was. It is a highlight of the Olympic site visit. Visitors are encouraged to try running on the original track, just as ancient athletes did, albeit in the nude!

Excellent tour with Elena - Yesterday my husband and I took an Olympic Site Private Walking tour
with Elena and we enjoyed it very much. First we settled all the details with her by texts and communication was very easy. The next day we met and she showed us the Archeological Site and the Museum. It was a wonderful, unforgettable experience, the best we've had in our 2 weeks in Greece. Her tour was interesting and informative, with some facts we would never be able to find in any books, she literally opened our eyes not only on Greek history, but how it affects the modern life and culture. I will highly recommend Elena to all our friends who are planning to visit Greece.

Magical! - Elena was magical. She studied how to be a tour guide for five semesters and certainly knows her business. She’s also an archaeology major, so that makes things interesting. She couldn’t have been more professional or more knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience not to be missed - Elena was recommended to us by our hotel and did not disappoint. She was incredibly polite and thoughtful as well as being incredibly knowledgeable on all of Olympia and its history. She walked us through the ruins whilst recounting what the experience might have been like for both an athlete as well as a visitor. She talked about elements of the site and how they related to exhibits in the museum which we later saw. Her commentary really brought the history of Olympia to life and we left with a much greater appreciation of its significance to Greek history.

Do Not Hesitate To Be Guided by Elena - Elena was our very informative and engaging tour guide for Ancient Olympia. Our family, which includes two teenagers, learned a lot about Ancient Olympia, the Olympics and all it represented. We discussed mythology, history, government, religion, architecture, art, and ancient Greek customs. Her presentation was amazing. She conveyed to us how Olympia was a special place and still is. She was very professional. I would not hesitate recommending her as a guide and plan to ask her again to be our tour guide for other places in Greece next time we visit.

Great tour: Not rushed through Olympia - We decided to book a private tour to Olympia because we didn't want to be rushed through as so many cruise ship tours tend to do. Costas our driver picked us up at the dock and drove us to Olympia to meet up with our guide. His car was clean and comfortable and offered complimentary cold water, which was a nice touch.
We meet up with Elena, our guide, who was very nice and laid back. She did not rush us at all and offered a lot of knowledge on all that we wanted to see. She was also good at painting a realistic picture of the area in it's time and what life was like for both athletes and spectators. We booked them for 5 hours and although we were offered an alternate activity that day, she graciously spent the whole time with us at Olympia. We sure picked the right tour guide! Thank you, Elena and Costas for an enjoyable experience, we highly recommend you!

You need a guide at Olympia! - We were very pleased with the ancient Olympia tour that we did with Elena. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the
site and the excavations. She gave us great insight into why the games were started and what the importance were behind the games. Had we gone on our own, we would have missed out on so much. There are a few information signs around but they do not give near the information that our guide did. I believe it is important to have a guide here and I highly recommend Elena. Her English is very good!

Best Olympia Tour Guide - Elena Aggeli is the best tour guide for visiting Olympia, Greece and the best tour guide we ever had. She is very knowledgeable and most important she presented information that was organized and easy to understand. She even answered all our questions. In addition to guiding us through the Olympia archeological site and museums, she helped us plan our travel to and from Athens and our accommodations. She is the best.
As a tip to other travelers we suggest you be aware of large groups when you visit the museums.

Outstanding tour! - Our guide, Elena, was exceptional—she brought ancient Olympia to life with vivid descriptions and insightful storytelling.
