- North Crater Flow Trail - North Crater Flow - This brief 1/4 mile paved trail traverses one of the newest flows to monoliths; crater fragments transported here by lava flows. Look out for stunning spring flowers and wildlife among the rocks.
- Devils Orchard - Devil’s Orchard - Enjoy a short 1/2 mile paved walk through unusual features where island-like lava fragments stand amidst a sea of cinders. Thought-provoking signs throughout the walk encourage reflection on ideas, concerns, and potential solutions for preserving this unique National Monument.
- Inferno Cone - Inferno Cone - Ascend an ancient cinder cone volcano for a 360-degree panoramic view of the surrounding volcanic landscape. This is a 1/2 mile round trip with a 160-foot elevation gain.
- Arco - Indian Tunnel - Venture into the largest tunnel in the park with collapsed sections that allow light to filter in. For added adventure, climb through the top of its lava tunnel and emerge onto ancient lava fields.
- Arco - Spatter Cones - Take a brief walk to the top of Spatter Cone and Snow Cone, miniature volcanoes formed during the final stages of a fissure-type eruption, hurling globs of lava into the air that eventually solidified into otherworldly shapes and textures.
- Perrine Bridge - Spanning 1,500 feet across the Snake River Canyon, the I. B. Perrine Memorial Bridge stands 486 feet above the Snake River. It is the only bridge in the United States where B.A.S.E. jumping is permitted without a permit every day of the year, drawing jumpers from around the globe to its rails.
- Evel Knievel Snake River Canyon Jump Site - On September 8th, 1976, the renowned daredevil, Evel Knievel, attempted to jump across the Snake River on his final jump. Although the jump was not successful (Evel landed at the bottom of the Snake River Canyon and was safely rescued), his jump ramp remains visible from the I.B. Perrine Memorial Bridge and is accessible via a paved walking path along the Snake River Canyon Rim or by vehicle down a dirt road leading directly to the jump site.
- Buzz Langdon Visitor Center - Inside the center, visitors will find everything needed for a trip in Southern Idaho. Discover historic photos, watch informative videos, and learn more about the four national park properties in the area. Speak with staff for maps, travel guides, lodging deals, and locals-only recommendations.
The Center’s floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of the Snake River Canyon, the 486-foot-tall Perrine Bridge, and the historic Evel Knievel jump site.
- Snake River Canyon Trail - Stroll along the Snake River Canyon Trail to reach the overlook platform for views of two beautiful golf courses located in the canyon alongside the winding Snake River, while observing kayakers and paddle boarders making their way to Pillar Falls and the majestic Shoshone Falls.
Watch as B.A.S.E. jumpers “fly” off the I. B. Perrine Memorial Bridge right before your eyes as they descend on their 28-second ride into the Snake River Canyon.
