The journey starts with a visit to the magnificent Curtea de Argeș Monastery, a significant site in Romanian history and architecture, where royalty is laid to rest.
Next, the tour proceeds to the ruins of Poenari Fortress, dramatically situated above the Argeș River Valley. While the climb to the top is not included, there will be a stop to appreciate the fortress from below and learn about its ties to Vlad the Impaler, the historical Dracula.
The route then ascends the mountains to the remarkable Vidraru Dam, a colossal hydro-engineering marvel with sweeping views.
The adventure continues into the Făgăraș Mountains, with stops at picturesque viewpoints before arriving at the stunning Bâlea Lake, located over 2,000 meters above sea level.
Before heading back down, there will be a stop to admire Capra Waterfall – a beautiful cascade set amidst pristine nature.
