Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve - The adventure kicks off in the morning from the city of Arequipa, embarking on an exhilarating 160 km journey to Chivay.

Along the way, the route passes through the delightful village of Yura, with its streets and squares recognized as historical monuments.

The journey continues through Pampa de Arrieros and Pampa Cañahuas, home to the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve in the Colca Canyon, where majestic vicuñas roam freely. There is an opportunity to admire these beautiful creatures while taking in the stunning landscape.

Stone Forest - A brief stop in Patahuasi allows for enjoying a refreshing coca tea, a traditional Andean beverage beneficial for altitude sickness. During a short stop at the Tocra wetlands, there is a chance to see beautiful birds, such as flamingos. The route continues past the crater of the Chucura volcano, with a stop at a fantastic volcano viewpoint.

The journey continues through charming picturesque villages, offering impressive views of the volcanoes from a lookout point, and includes a cultural tour in the villages of the Colca Valley.

Chivay - Finally, arrival in Chivay offers free time for lunch (optional). A transfer to the hotel allows for a short rest.

Afterward, the exploration of Chivay and its market provides an immersion into the Andean culture high in the Colca Canyon. A visit to the La Calera hot springs follows.

At the end of the day, a return to the hotel in Chivay, Yanque, or Coporaque is arranged, depending on the hotel’s location.

Condor Cross - Arequipa

Mirador Cruz del Condor - An early start with a delicious breakfast precedes the journey to the renowned Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. Arrival is timed to witness the breathtaking depth of the canyon and, with luck, the sighting of condors in the Colca Canyon.

Pinchollo - On the return to Chivay, a visit to the traditional village of Pinchollo and the Antahuilque viewpoint offers a chance to marvel at the ancient terraces built 1,500 years ago by the Collagua culture, predating the Incas.

Yanque - The exploration continues with a visit to Maca, a charming Andean community affected by an earthquake in November 1991, and the town of Yanque, renowned for having the most beautiful church in the valley.

Chivay - Returning to Chivay provides time for lunch (optional).

Finally, the journey back to Arequipa concludes with a transfer to the hotel, wrapping up an incredible experience in the Colca Valley.
