- Via Di San Domenico & Piazza San Domenico - The Basilica of San Domenico, located in the square of the same name in Arezzo, is one of the city’s most significant sacred buildings. Construction began in 1275 and was completed in the 14th century, funded by the Ubertini and Tarlati families, the two most influential families in Arezzo during the Middle Ages. In January 1276, although still unfinished, the church hosted what is considered the first conclave in the history of the Catholic Church.
- Museo Casa di Giorgio Vasari - The Casa Vasari Museum is a magnificent Renaissance residence in the heart of Arezzo. It was purchased and personally decorated by Giorgio Vasari, a renowned painter, architect, and art historian, best known for his seminal work “The Lives of the Most Excellent Painters, Sculptors and Architects.”
- Basilica di San Francesco - The Basilica of San Francesco in Arezzo, with its incomplete façade, houses an extraordinary artistic heritage. Among the most renowned works is the fresco cycle The Story of the True Cross by Piero della Francesca, a universal masterpiece that adorns the Bacci Chapel, commissioned by the affluent Arezzo family bearing its name.
- Piazza Grande - Piazza Grande, located in the historic center of Arezzo, is an iconic and captivating place, recognized for its unique trapezoidal shape and inclined plane. The square dates back to the 12th century but underwent significant transformations in the 16th century.
- Santa Maria delle Grazie - The Pieve di Santa Maria Assunta is an ancient urban baptismal church, with origins dating back to between the 5th and 6th centuries, possibly built on the remains of a pagan structure. Later, around the 9th century, a larger structure was constructed. In the 12th century, this early medieval church was also demolished to make way for a new Romanesque-style building.
- Fortezza Medicea - The Medici Fortress of Arezzo, located in the heart of Prato Park, is one of the most important examples of Renaissance military architecture in Tuscany. The fortress’s origins date back to the medieval period when the area was already used as a strategic point for controlling the surrounding territory.
- Anfiteatro Romano - This structure, built between the end of the 1st century and the first half of the 2nd century AD, reflects the Roman influence on the city, already an heir of the Etruscan civilization.
