A Last-Minute Solo Tour That Turned Into a Scottish Highlight! - I did this tour solo and booked it very last minute, but Charlie went out of his way to accommodate me. He was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing a wealth of information about the town’s history, its role in various wars, recent local events, Jacobite connections, and so much more. Much of the views along the way were absolutely breathtaking. As someone who's moved to Scotland and already seen my fair share of Highland coos, Charlie offered a great alternative for this part of the tour—visiting the fascinating Bonawe Historic Iron Furnace. I had the entire place to myself, and it was genuinely fantastic. It feels like a true hidden gem, with no other visitors (while I was there), and made the experience even more special. I highly recommend jumping into this tour. The seafood at the end was a real treat—I had the scallops in a garlic cheesy sauce, and they were so delicious. Plus, the view from the pier is stunning. Overall, it was a brilliant experience, and for the price (especially for a private tour), it’s absolutely worth it. Just come prepared—Charlie packs in a lot of history and information. It’s such a beautiful and story-rich part of Scotland, and this tour really brings it to life.

Family friendly, FUN, tour! - We had such a wonderful time on our historical tour near Oban with Gus and would absolutely LOVE to have him as our guide again. He picked us up on time and was very accommodating of our two children. He shared the rich history of many sites while making it fun for the kiddos. Do yourself a favor and book this tour today… you will not be disappointed!

Best tour service out there! - We absolutely loved this. It was our second day really going out and exploring Scotland and we were lucky enough to get a tour guide that has been a local for a long time. Campbell helped us experience Scotland like a local. He was able to answer everything we asked about all of the places he showed us and was so easy to get along with. When we were in town, it seemed like he knew everyone! It was so incredible to be able to know Oban past the touristy stuff. Campbell introduced us to a local business owner for the seafood portion of the trip and we were treated like we were family. The tour was fabulous and we saw some truky breathtaking views that we will remember forever. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!

History, Scottish scenery with finale of seafood lunch. - So much history explained with a depth of knowledge of Oban. Amazing ancient castles and beautiful Kirk with Scottish scenery. The tour finished back at the dock for a welcoming dram of whisky and awonderful seafood lunch.

Best Tour and Guide ever ! - Charlie (our tour guide) was fantastic! He was knowledgeable and fun ! We felt that we saw everything and more! Our seafood lunch was a great way to end a fantastic tour. Gordon at the seafood restaurant was a bonus! I hope to return to Oban

Must-Do Tour - This is a “must do” tour! We had no idea how much WWII history is here, mixed in with Scottish local history there is a lot to take in. The drive is breathtaking. Lunch at the end was incredible. I highly recommend this tour.

A nice Oban overview tour. - Robert was a decent guide. He knew the history but lacked the overall depth of details. Having said that we enjoyed the tour very much. The van held 12 ‘crammed’ passengers. The lunch was on the pier at some picnic benches, which was fine since it was a good weather day. The food was good.

Worth the time spent - Driven to see around Obin when you do not have a car. Gavin was informative and receptive to our questions. Thank you.

Oban - 30 minutes or more late starting due to schedule confusion with other guests and changing the vehicle. Sights and road closed , missed or paths too ‘wet’ to explore. Not sure we got 3 hours as the 10:00 am began about 10:45 and we were dropped off at 1pm so the guide could pick up the couple who missed the 10am. That was a bit confusing.
