Parking Lot D-Grand Canyon Village

If you have your own transportation please meet me 15 minutes prior to tour at PARKING LOT D-GRAND CANYON VILLAGE. During spring break, summer, and fall weekends, there can be long lines with up to 2 hr wait times between 10 am and 4 pm to enter South Gate. Plan ahead make it to your pickup on time.

We had a wonderful time... - We had a wonderful time on our Grand Canyon Tour. Out tour guide, Eric was absolutely fantastic and has a wealth of knowledge about everything there is to know about the Grand Canyon from the different Native peoples that lived in and around the Canyon, how it changed over the years, to the science behind how it came into existence. He knows all the best spots to take you to. It absolutely was fascinating. And his van was well stocked with snacks, coffee, water etc. and even had hand warmers. And he supplied everyone with state of the art binoculars which was an incredible bonus.

Great tour and tour guide! - First class tour! The van looks to be new and it was comfortable. There was attention to detail with Wi-Fi included as well as charging cables for everyone if needed. Additionally, snacks, and drinks were included too. And the provided binoculars came in very handy. Eric, the tour guide took us to several different stops along the south rim. At each one he shared detailed information about the canyon, the rock formations and the history of it being developed into a national park and tourist destination. VERY knowledgeable. Two thumbs up!

A detailed lesson about the Grand Canyon - Eric is very articulate and includes geology of the canyon, history of people involved with the canyon, and the about the surrounding climate providing a comprehensive tour. He included binoculars and snacks and a comfortable ride.

Great experience with Grand Canyon Explorer! - We had a great experience with Grand Canyon Explorer Tours and Eric! He’s a very professional but also personable guide and an amazing wealth of information on the canyon geology, history, plants, touring and trails. Our group ranged from 7 to 80 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our tour! Thank you Eric!

This was an awesome... - This was an awesome experience! From the start, Eric went out of his way to answer our travel concern, and made sure my family arrived safe. From there, he took us on a very informative tour of the Grand Canyon, and surrounding area. With his extensive knowledge, we learned more than we imagined about the history there. I’d highly recommend booking this tour!

Eric is passionate and knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon - Eric, who runs this tour is very knowledgeable and passionate about the Grand Canyon. I would highly recommend taking this tour if you wanna learn about the GC history and facts. He took us to see some less popular but beautiful views.

Great Tour! - We had a great time on this tour with Eric. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the grand canyon and the geological makeup of the canyon. There were only 2 of us for this tour as it is off season so we basically had a private tour which was awesome. He provided very nice binoculars and had refreshments in the van which was a nice touch. He took his time explaining the sights and we never felt rushed. I thought the price was very reasonable for what we got in value. I highly recommend this tour.

Grand Canyon Nov 2025 - Truly loved this experience. Eric shares his knowledge of the history of the Canyon, the geology, wildlife, trees & flowers, architecture, etc., and the influences the Native American cultures have had over the years. At each stop, people would lean in to listen and he never hesitated to answer their questions as well. Highly recommend!
