- Saghmosavank Monastery - Saghmosavank is situated on the right bank of the Kasakh River, within the village of Saghmosavan. Tradition holds that it was founded by Grigor Lusavorich (Gregory the Illuminator). The St. Sion Church, constructed by Prince Vache Vachutian in 1215, features a cross-shaped interior and a rectangular exterior, topped with a high cylindrical drum and a conical dome. The church’s facades are adorned with “Armenian hollows.” Between 1215 and 1235, Vache Vachutian added a four-columned porch to the west of the St. Sion Church, with a central ceiling featuring a 12-faceted stone shelter. To the north of the monastery lies a cemetery with khachkars from the 13th and 14th centuries. In 1250, a school was established in Saghmosavank.
- Ashtarak - Yeganyans’ Guest House and Wine Yard was founded on a family tradition of wine and vodka production. Seth’s grandfather was a celebrated winemaker. A humorous tale recounts how his grandfather, eager to taste the wine, would sample it throughout the process, once finishing an entire barrel before it was fully matured!
