Setting Sail with New Friends

The sun was just beginning to rise over the horizon as I made my way to the Ritz Carlton beach, the starting point for my Aruba Sailing Adventure. As a former professional surfer, I’ve spent countless hours in the ocean, but there’s always something magical about setting sail on a new adventure. This time, it was with Captain Carl and his first mate, Bibi, who greeted me with warm smiles and an infectious enthusiasm that promised a day full of excitement.

From the moment I stepped on board, I felt like part of the family. Carl and Bibi’s hospitality was unmatched, and their passion for the sea was evident in every story they shared. The cold drinks and fresh fruit provided by our hosts were the perfect refreshment, and the friendly conversations made the experience all the more enjoyable. Our final stop was at the Bucuti Yacht Club for a delicious lunch at the Fish House. The food was as delightful as the view, and it was the perfect way to refuel before heading back to the starting point. As we sailed back, I couldn’t help but reflect on the day’s adventures and the new friends I’d made along the way.

Bibi and Carl’s dedication to ensuring everyone had a memorable experience was truly remarkable. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and safe, even helping those who were new to swimming feel at ease in the ocean.
