Arusha to Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - Departure from the Arusha hotel is at 7:30 am, embarking on a journey to Serengeti that takes approximately 7 to 8 hours. Along the way, travelers can enjoy the stunning views of the Rift Valley and Ngorongoro Crater, arriving in Serengeti around 3:00 pm. An evening game drive in central Serengeti offers a chance to witness the sunset, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Seronera campsite within the park. The Serengeti is renowned for its vast plains and the spectacular wildebeest migration, involving 1.5 million herbivores and their predators moving across the park due to drought. The driver guide will ensure guests witness part of this migration, along with large numbers of zebras, Grant’s gazelles, Thomson’s gazelles, elands, and impalas.
Day 3: Serengeti Morning Game Drive Back to Simba Campsite
Serengeti National Park - Rise at 5:45 am for an early breakfast and sunrise viewing in Serengeti. After breakfast, an early morning game drive continues until 11:30 am, followed by a return to the campsite for a hot lunch and packing. Serengeti National Park boasts the highest concentration of large mammals globally, offering sightings of giraffes, elephants, hippos, and lions, as well as over 500 bird species, including ostriches and flamingos. The driver will cover key areas in central Serengeti. After lunch, the journey continues with a game drive towards Ngorongoro Crater, ending with dinner and an overnight stay at Simba campsite.
Six to Seven Hours Down the Crater Back to Town
Ngorongoro Crater - Begin the day at 5:30 am with breakfast, then descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor to see the Big Five and various bird species, including the black rhino. Lunch is enjoyed inside the crater amidst nature and a high concentration of flamingos. The crater hosts over 6,000 wildebeests, 4,000 black-spotted hyenas, 2,000 zebras, 2,000 elands, 3,000 gazelles, 200 elephants, over 30 lions, 30 black rhinos, and many smaller animals like kobs, antelopes, jackals, hippos, and diverse bird species. This popular African destination is the world’s largest inactive, unbroken, and unfilled volcanic caldera, formed approximately two and a half million years ago. After 6 to 7 hours of game driving on the crater floor, guests will ascend, pack their luggage into the jeep, and return to town.
