Ngorongoro Crater - After an early breakfast, check-out and begin the descent into the Ngorongoro Crater. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area hosts a vast variety of animals, including wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephant. Another major attraction of this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, including lion, hyena, jackal, cheetah, and the elusive leopard, which sometimes require a trained eye to spot. Visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and various water birds can usually be seen here. Late in the afternoon, ascend back to the crater rim and travel back to Arusha. Upon arrival, be dropped off at your choice of accommodations for dinner and an overnight stay or at the airport for your flight home. This is where the safari will conclude.
