Day 1 – Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - Guests will be picked up from their hotel at 8:00 am and driven to Tarangire National Park for a day of game viewing. The park is situated along the Tarangire River and features low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural landscape is primarily composed of Acacia woodlands and giant African Baobab trees, with expansive swamp areas in the south. During Tanzania’s dry season, the river and swamps attract a variety of wildlife. Tarangire National Park is renowned for having some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. Additionally, the park is home to three rare animal species: the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Fig Lodge Campsite.

Day 2 – Tarangire to Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara - The following morning, after a 15-minute drive, guests will arrive at Lake Manyara. They will explore the diverse vegetation and the alkaline lake, encountering numerous baboons and other monkey species in the forest. The entire day will be spent enjoying a game drive through the park, searching for the elusive lions that rest in the trees. After an extensive search, lunch will be served, followed by a return to the accommodation.

Day 3 – Manyara to Serengeti

Serengeti Hippo Pool - After breakfast, the journey continues towards Serengeti National Park, passing through the picturesque highland farms of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands, guests will descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its vast plains stretching as far as the eye can see. The destination is the central park area, known as the Seronera area, which is one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats. The Seronera River provides a crucial water source, attracting a wide variety of wildlife representative of the Serengeti’s species.

Guests will arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.

Dinner and overnight stay will be in the Seronera area, according to the chosen accommodation option.

Day 4 – Serengeti Plains to Ngorongoro Highlands

Ngorongoro Crater - Early in the morning, guests will embark on another game drive in the Serengeti before heading towards the Ngorongoro Crater. The 600-meter-deep unbroken caldera will soon come into view, offering breathtaking, awe-inspiring vistas of the collapsed volcano. The campsite is located directly on the crater’s edge, providing a once-in-a-lifetime view as the sun sets over the crater. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Simba-A Campsite.

Day 5 – Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater - Early in the morning, guests will descend the forested slopes into the crater via a steep and narrow path. The crater floor is covered in open grassland with occasional acacia trees and two small wooded areas. Visitors will have the opportunity to see numerous animals in a short time and may even check off the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard – from their list. The morning will be spent exploring the park, followed by a picnic lunch in the crater. Guests will then return to Arusha, arriving by early evening.
