TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Tarangire National Park - Begin the day with breakfast before heading to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game drives. The park boasts a varied landscape with nine distinct vegetation zones. Majestic Baobab trees, the largest in Africa, tower over the animals grazing below. The Tarangire River winds through the park, drawing a rich array of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalos, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and a multitude of vibrant birds. Renowned for having Tanzania’s largest elephant population, the park offers a unique opportunity to quietly observe elephant families interacting. Enjoy a picnic lunch at an observatory within the park, where you can watch animals drink from the river and occasionally witness lions hunting zebras or wildebeests. Continue the game viewing before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

TRANSIT NGORONGORO INTO CENTRAL SERENGETI

Serengeti National Park - Today’s adventure takes you past Lake Manyara into the lush Ngorongoro highlands. As you traverse the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you’ll arrive at the expansive plains of the Serengeti National Park by early afternoon. The upcoming days are dedicated to exploring the renowned Serengeti, home to the Big Five – elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, and rhino – along with numerous other species. Each game drive promises new wildlife encounters, as no two safari days are alike. Overnight accommodations are at the Baobab Serengeti Tented Camp or a similar venue.

FULL DAY SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, continue the safari in the Serengeti National Park. In the Seronera Valley, you may witness predators hunting as animals gather at water sources during the dry season or track the migration from Central to North Serengeti. Lunch will be enjoyed at a picnic spot within the park. Continue with game drives until late afternoon, then return to your lodge at the BAOBAB Serengeti Camp for relaxation, a shower, dinner, and an overnight stay.

TRACKING THE SERENGETI MIGRATION

Serengeti National Park - Spend two days immersed in the Serengeti, with today dedicated to a FULL DAY of exploration. Accompanied by your guide, take your time to observe the park’s wildlife and learn about animal behavior and social structures. The Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s third-largest, is breathtakingly beautiful. The southern landscape is dominated by endless grasslands, while open woodlands and hills characterize the north and west. Alongside the Masai Mara, the Serengeti hosts the Great Migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras, one of nature’s most spectacular events. Accommodations are at Baobab Serengeti Camp or a similar location. To maximize your chances of witnessing the Great Migration, routes and camp orders are chosen based on your travel timing.

SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO

Serengeti National Park - Experience the breathtaking sunrise in the African Savannah. After a morning game drive, return to the camp for brunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Ngorongoro, the 8th natural wonder of the world. With walls 2,000 feet high and a crater floor spanning 102 square miles, the crater is a virtual Noah’s Ark, home to nearly every species of wildlife native to East Africa, including the rare black rhino. The crater boasts the highest concentration of wildlife on Earth, featuring a river, swamps, a soda lake that appears as steam from above, filled with flamingoes, a forest, and open plains. The large bull elephants here have impressive tusks due to the volcanic soil’s rich mineral content, making them the most remarkable elephants you’ll ever encounter.

NGORONGORO CRATER

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Early in the morning, descend to the crater floor for a day of wildlife viewing in one of the world’s most extraordinary locations. After a picnic lunch near the hippo lake and further wildlife viewing in the afternoon, ascend the steep road out of the crater and return to Moshi or Arusha.

Your 6 Days Tanzanian lodge safari will start when we greet you at your lodge/hotel a day prior for a comprehensive safari briefing, and then allow you time to unwind and appreciate the inviting weather of Arusha city. In the event of a late arrival, we meet you in the morning before we set off for Tarangire.
