Amazing safari - We have just returned from a 6 day safari with Meru slopes, we went with the company due to their good reviews and it did not disappoint , from booking to the safari itself the experience and service was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgable and addressed any concerns immediately- we were able to see everything apart from a leopard (not without the guide trying, nobody else saw one either) including lions hunting , our chef was amazing and the food was great. The alcohol included was also a great touch as many other budget safaris didn’t have this. Overall myself and my mate would 100% recommend this company if you are looking for a good safari.

From start to finish, every detail of this trip was perfectly thought out and wonderfully organized. The breathtaking experiences we had in Tanzania will stay with us for a lifetime. Seeing Africa’s wildlife in its natural environment was just magical – we were lucky enough to watch all the Big Five, which was one of the highlights of our trip. The landscape was overwhelmingly beautiful, changing from lush savannas to endless golden plains. Especially impressive was the Maasai Mara, which is simply incomparable with its vastness and abundance of animals. But also the Serengeti, the Arusha National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Tarangire National Park left us amazed. The Serengeti, with their endless expanses, the wildlife in Ngorongoro Crater and the impressive Tarangire Park with its huge baobab trees and elephant herds were simply unforgettable. Every moment on the safari was a unique experience and much more than just a journey – it was a discovery of nature in its purest form. The team, consisting of extremely competent guides and helpful staff, has enriched the trip even further. They were not only professionally excellent and well informed, but also very accommodating and always eager to provide us with an unforgettable experience. You could tell that they do their work with passion and passion. The organization of the trip was impeccable. From the first contact to the last day everything was thoughtful and perfectly planned. The vehicles were well maintained and comfortable, which enabled us to enjoy the safari rides in peace. No detail was left out, so we always felt we were in the best of hands. Five star experience! - An absolute five star experience with Meru Slopes! We chose a 6 days Safari, we spent two nights in Fanaka Lodge and 3 nights camping. We visited Tarangire, Serengueti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. Jerome was our travel consultant, contact with him was very easy and replied kindly and quickly to all of my questions (that were many!). It was definitely one of the things that made me choose Meru Slopes. Everything went just as expected and explained in the brochure. They picked us up from the airport (with a nice car with courtesy coca cola and water) and took us to the hotel, which is fine for the night previous and after the safari. It has AC and a diner with meal included. They saved our big luggage during the safari. The safari van was great, a Toyota Land Cruiser in perfect condition, with a cooler to keep water, coca cola and beer in the perfect temp. We could also charge our phones, camera and torches just fine, and we had wifi all the way! Our guide was Florian, he was excellent! Very well experienced, he knew where it was most likely to find the animals. He got us to see lions hunting, three times!! He was a very skilled driver, the roads are not in great condition and since we went in rainy season it got pretty muddy, but that was not a problem! He also gave us explanations about animals, their behavior and about flora too! Food was another highlight in this trip, while other companies get plain lunch boxes, our chef Dulla spoiled us with home made food! Every afternoon he made fresh bread for dinner, he also gave us some popcorn to accompany the sunset until it was dinner time. We were supplied with bottled water, got every amount we wanted and also coca cola and beers. The camping experience was amazing, going to sleep hearing the animals around is something very unique and one of a kind experience! We heard how wild animals fed just next to our tent, so if you are adventurous, I recommend to camp! But there are options with lodges too if you are not up to it. If you are going in rainy season like us, rain is expected. We had two nights with heavy rains, while we saw how other companies got soaked, our tents allowed us to stay perfectly dry! Everything worked fine. And at simba camp there was even hot water to shower. We saw the big five! It depends on luck mostly and a bit of patience too, leopards are hard to spot, we only got see one once. We also saw many other animals like hippos, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, elephants, tortoises, monkeys, lots of birds, and different kind of antelopes (and learn to recognize them!) Big highlight was the big migration! Weren’t expecting to seeing it because of the season but we got lucky! I highly recommend to hire Meru Slopes. It is a local company, I think it is important to support local business. And also, for what I have seen, they provide the best price - quality relation. Hopefully will have the chance to come back! I highly recommend it. - I went on a 6-day safari tour. It was a dreamlike experience during that time. Despite the end of the high season, we were able to see a wide variety of animals, and the tour guides who accompanied us taught us in detail about Maasai culture and animal ecology. The chef was cheerful and had delicious rice every day. I am grateful that I was able to spend a very intense time.

An unforgettable safari adventure - The organization was excellent from start to finish and so the trip went smoothly. Dulla has us excellent food - always freshly cooked and very delicious. Godfrey made us feel safe throughout the tour and tried to give us as many impressions as possible. An all-round perfect adventure - highly recommended.

Beautiful experience - We were picked up from Kilimanjaro Airport and had a first night at the Arusha Tourist Inn. The following day the safari started. All wonderfully organized. Very good driver with excellent eyes, who could spot even distant animals. We felt very safe. Friendly very gracious staff. Helpful the German translator. Fine cuisine. Sleeping in the tent was comfortable.through 5cm mattresses, clean sleeping bags and inflated pillows. Campsites in the wilderness. Sanitary facilities in order.. No luxury trip, but close to nature. We saw a lot of animals up close, which we really liked. A beautiful experience for all the senses.

Incredible experience and guide! - Had a most amazing time on this tour, with a very incredible guide. The experience was incredible, with some of the most magical moments and encounters with wildlife (and really, they were wild, not ANYTHING like a zoo) that i have ever had. The company was very organised, helpful, and timely, and our guide was the best we had over the several tours we did during our trip to Tanzania. Meru Slopes really stood out for me, and the safari experience is not one that I will every forget.

A wonderful safari - We had an amazing time during our safari! Due to Mohamed we were able to find many animals throughout the park, even a leopard, cheetas and rhinos. He was very kind to always stop or drive back and forth when we wanted to take pictures. Also the food during the tour was great! We both have allergies (celiac disease and milk allergy) and our chef Rashid was happy to provide alternatives for us so we could enjoy the typical African food without worry. We had a great time and would definitely recommend joining this Safari.

Amazing 6 day budget safari - We have just come back from a fabulous 6 day lodge and tent safari to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serenegti and Ngrongoro Crater with Florian as our driver and Saleem as our cook. We were amazed at Florian's ability to always find all the animals and bird life we were looking for and for his knowledge and driving expertise. We got to see all of the big five including a leopard up a tree eating its latest kill and thoroughly enjoyed Saleem's meals. A very well organized Company you can trust and count on if you have any problems. - We cannot thank enough Gift for being so nice with us all the time, always accomodating our extra requests. When we've arrived to Dar Es Salaam our luggage was lost and we had our safari booked for the day after. Meru Slope helped us in buying last minute the most important items we were missing and off we went. We had a time of our lives, our driver and guide Robert was super as we have seen so many beatiful animals (all the big 5 and we completed the 9 and ugly 5 too) Everything was way behind our expectations , nothing was feeling budget. The food was always delicious too and our chef Gideon even managed in improvizing a birthday party for me on the first night ! Last but not least they even helped us in contacting the lost&found office, and finally retrieved our luggage and took us to Arusha Airport to collect it. Definitely we highly recommend Meru Slope for your experience in Tanzania.
