The perfect way to see the wild side of Tanzania - Where to start? From the beginning, Elia, the tour consultant was fantastic, he was receptive and flexible to ensure that the package we selected was suited perfectly to our needs and changed things around to fit our budget too. The day came that we arrived in Tanzania, there was Chaz who met us at the airport to take us to our first hotel and explained what would happen the next day. On the first day of the safari, we met our wonderful guide, Macha, who was simply amazing. Helpful, informative, chatty and knew all the best spots to position the Land Cruiser (which was cleaned spotless every day) to see the animals. The highlight of the trip was the Serengeti, seeing lions, leopards and cheetah in their natural habitat is something that we will never forget. We had the most amazing time and we were recommended Lion King Adventures from a friend and we would not hesitate to recommend them to our friends. It was the trip of a lifetime!

The Perfect Safari - Our party of four went on a week-long safari visiting Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. We went mid-June and this trip was unforgettable–a huge part of that was our incredible experience with Lion King Adventures! Everything was handled with care and great attention to detail, ensuring a truly unforgettable experience. Lion King Adventures arranged for some fantastic accommodations for us after long days on game drives. The Lion King Adventure vans were exceptional. It was spacious, clean, and well-stocked with lots of drinks. The windows and top were easy to open which allowed us to capture all our memories and photographs during our game drives. Our driver always packed us delicious hot lunches and we had plenty of cold beverages to enjoy throughout the day. Our guide for the week, David, was absolutely exceptional in every way. Our group enjoyed learning from David as we enjoyed the landscape and the wildlife that Tanzania had to offer. We also loved spending time with him during our driving breaks. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and funny. He was an incredible driver and we loved driving around in the “Cheetah” all week! He helped us to see the “big five” and so much more. It was clear that David’s connections gave us an advantage over other tour companies. David was a huge part of our trip and we couldn’t imagine anyone in such an important role. It was very evident that David was experienced and the other drivers from Lion King Adventures were professionals in providing unforgettable safari experiences. Our once in a lifetime trip to Tanzania was unforgettable and we are so grateful that we put our trust in Lion King Adventures. Best family safari!! - Our Safari with Lion King was amazing! Halifa was a fantastic guide and super knowledgeable about all of the flora and fauna. All of the booking and pre-trip communication was great. They were super easy to correspond with and easily made modifications per our requests, such as adding nights in Arusha or requesting specific lodges. Our kids are 8 and 10 and this was a fantastic experience from start to finish. They loved getting to see all of the animals and learn about local culture. All of the lodges had swimming pools the kids could use after a day of driving and the food was great! 5 days was plenty for the actually safari (excluding transit days). This is our second safari (the first was pre-kids) and we found Lion King to be far superior in terms of value and quality of the guide.

Amazing safari experience - thank you David - David was an amazing guide who made our Tanzanian safari an unforgettable experience. He was determined to help us see the big 5 and the Great Migration and very much succeeded. We were sad to part with David after the safari due to his amiable personality.

Incredible Safari Experience - Our 7-day tour with Lion King Adventures was fantastic in every way. Everything was delivered and provided as advertised – and then some. Our accommodations were uniformly excellent, with special kudos to the Land and Nature Lodging in Serengeti National Park. The staff there was phenomenal. We were fortunate enough to visit during a great time of year – late June/early July. The array of magnificent animals and birds we were able to see exceeded our hopes and expectations. But by far the best part of our Lion King tour was our guide, Gilbert. In all of our years of tours and excursions, we have never had a tour guide as great as Gilbert. He was friendly, tremendously hard-working, and amazingly skilled driver, and unbelievably knowledgeable about anything and everything available to see in the three national parks and one conservation area we visited. We could not have been more pleased and more appreciative of the overall total experience that Gilbert and Lion King Adventures provided to us.

Honeymoon Safari - 10/10 once in a lifetime experience - Our honeymoon safari with Lion King was one of the best experiences of our lives. Our driver/guide Gilbert made the trip even more special as he provided his expertise on plants and animals throughout the trip. Each day, we were briefed on where we were going and what animals we could expect to see. The accommodations at each site (Arusha, Serengeti, and Karatu) were amazing and service was 10/10 everywhere we stayed. Each site brought their own unique style and landscape to enjoy. Food throughout the trip was great and we had plenty of beverages available in the safari vehicle. All activities came together flawlessly, including our balloon safari add-on. Thank you Lion King and Gilbert for making our honeymoon a trip that we will never forget!

Lion King created and realized our dreams for a lifetime. - We’re visiting Tanzania as a family of 8 (2 couples with 2 children each). Earlier, the process of booking this trip was an overwhelming task but Lion King staff was extremely helpful and patient with explaining the options and providing a package that worked best for us. Ever since we arrived at Kilimanjaro Intl airport, Lion King had arranged every little detail (clearly communicated to us via email) starting from airport pickup. The friendliness and hospitality of every single person, whether Lion King staff or hotel/lodge staff, is especially noteworthy. They made us feel welcome with a smile. The crowning glory of the trip are our guides - Enock and Jafari. We couldn’t have asked for better human beings and more knowledgeable guides for our special trip. Whether we were in Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti or Ngorongoro, they made sure the day was planned to suit our needs and wishes. Highly professional, extremely warm, with a healthy sense of humor. Each day started early and ended with a briefing by Enock to ensure clear communication and planning. Enock’s knowledge of the Serengeti’s geography is truly remarkable - he’s able to navigate the park without any maps or GPS system, depending solely on natural landmarks. Both guides are well aware of the seasonal ecology and animal patterns. Over those 4 days we saw every animal we had dreamed of and more, thanks to our guides. Every lodge selected by Lion King for our trip was indeed luxurious and the food was exceptional. It was the ideal combination of Tanzanian fare and continental offerings. Even in the middle of the Serengeti our camp was very comfortable, clean, safe. No matter how dirty the safari vehicles (we had 2) got during the day they were always washed and clean the next day. I could go on and on but will finish by saying that Lion King realised a dream of a lifetime for us and Enock and Jafari executed it to perfection. Thank you!!

Outstanding experience - This safari exceeded our expectations. The hotels/lodges were beautiful and friendly with amazing views of the Serengeti and savannah and the game drives provided views of all the big 5, hundreds of other species and extraordinary landscapes. unforgettable family safari - We had an incredible experience with Lion King’s safari tour. We traveled as a family with two children, aged 14 and 11, and the entire trip was very family-friendly and flexible to our needs. Our guide, Yusuph, was outstanding—professional, helpful, and highly knowledgeable with 8 years of experience. Thanks to his carefully planned routes, and knowledge with the animal’s’ whereabouts, we were able to spot all the Big Five and more. The lodges selected were beautiful with friendly staff and great food, often surrounded by wildlife, which made the experience even more exciting for the kids. The service throughout was excellent.
