Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park - After breakfast, we head to Manyara National Park for a game drive, which takes about 2 hours to reach the park gate.
Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, soda ash lake, and flamingos, offering breathtaking scenery! The park is home to numerous elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, waterbucks, warthogs, the shy Kik’s dik-dik, and klipspringers along the escarpment ramps. Leopards inhabit the broken forests and escarpment, and the park is known for its healthy lions that climb trees. Lake Manyara is also known for having Africa’s largest herds of baboons.
After the game drive, we will transfer to Omega View Hotel & Resort for dinner and an overnight stay.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, you will descend into the plains for a full day of game drives. As you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you’ll have a fantastic opportunity to observe the Maasai lifestyle, either by seeing their “bomas” (villages) or watching them herd their cattle in the vast conservation area.
The name Serengeti comes from the Maasai word Siringiti, meaning endless plains. Upon entering the Serengeti, you’ll quickly see how fitting this name is. The plains stretch as far as the eye can see, interrupted only by occasional trees, kopjes (rock formations), or wildlife. During the Great Migration, these plains are covered with wildebeests and zebras searching for grazing and water, participating in one of the largest annual mammal migrations on earth. At the end of the afternoon, you will head to Shuhudia Adventure Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - You will wake up early and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Your driver will be ready to take you back into the park for more wildlife exploration! You can choose to take lunch boxes for a full day in the park or return to the camp for lunch and some relaxation.
The driver will help you search for lions, leopards, and cheetahs. You’ll find large numbers of hippos in one of the park’s pools, and you might be charmed by the acrobatic tricks of vervet monkeys or baboons. Giraffes gracefully move across the plains, eating acacia leaves without concern for the thorns, while hyenas try to defend their prey from lions. All in all, it’s a day full of unforgettable experiences!
Dinner and overnight at Shuhudia Camp.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After an early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, you will return to the campsite for breakfast before proceeding to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch en route. Later, you will head to the Rhino Hotel for dinner and an overnight stay within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After an early breakfast, you will embark on a full-day game drive on the crater floor with a picnic lunch. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Omega View Hotel.
The crater is an inactive volcano. To reach the crater floor, you must make a significant descent. The Ngorongoro Crater boasts immense diversity in both animals and flora. All members of the “Big Five” (elephant, black rhino, buffalo, leopard, and lion) can be found in the crater. Flamingos feed in Lake Magadi, while hippos cool off in the freshwater pools after grazing at night. In the Lerai Forest, elephants with giant tusks pull leaves and branches from the trees, while wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes graze on the plains. Lions often seek shade, sometimes even under a car. After a day in the crater, a driver will take you to Omega View Hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - After an early breakfast, you will go on a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch. You will return to Arusha around 5:00 pm.
Tarangire National Park is a scenic park with expansive views of baobab-studded grasslands. The Tarangire River, a permanent river, attracts many animals, especially during the dry season, bringing the park to life. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows through the area. It features dense acacia and mixed woodland vegetation, with the area around the river dominated by huge baobab trees and, to a lesser extent, old doom palm trees and black cotton grass.
Depending on your flight details or other arrangements, a driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home.
