Arusha Town to Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - The tour begins after breakfast, with a stop in Arusha for any last-minute purchases before embarking on an exciting safari adventure. The journey continues to Tarangire National Park, where lunch is followed by the first game drive of the safari! Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant population and baobab trees. It is central to the annual migration cycle, which includes up to 3,000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest, and 30,000 zebras.
Maramboi Lodge to Lake Manyara NP
Lake Manyara National Park - After breakfast, the tour heads to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive. This stunning park is located at the northwestern corner of Lake Manyara, a shallow soda lake at the base of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. Lake Manyara covers two-thirds of the park, while the remaining third supports a variety of wildlife in open savannah grassland, rocky outcrops, marshes, and acacia woodland. Manyara NP is famous for its large flocks of flamingos and elusive tree-climbing lions. Other animals found here include buffalo, zebra, hippo, leopard, elephants, and giraffes.
Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti NP
Ngorongoro Crater - The journey begins shortly after breakfast with a scenic drive up the Rift Valley escarpment to Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival, registration is completed before descending to the floor of the world’s largest unbroken caldera for an incredible day of game viewing. The highlight of Ngorongoro is its deep, volcanic crater, the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera globally. Approximately 20 km across, 600 meters deep, and 300 sq km in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. A visit to Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, is included, where numerous flamingos, hippos, and other water birds are often seen. Lunch is enjoyed at the designated picnic site by the hippo pool, followed by a game drive en route to Serengeti National Park for an overnight stay.
Full Migration Viewing - Central Serengeti NP
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast at the camp, the game drive continues, proceeding to Seronera, the central part of the park, for a full day of game drives.
Serengeti National Park is renowned for its healthy population of resident wildlife, particularly the “big five,” named for the five most prized trophies by hunters: Lion: the Serengeti is believed to have the largest lion population in Africa, partly due to the abundance of prey species. Over 3,000 lions inhabit this ecosystem. African Leopard: these elusive predators are commonly seen in the Seronera region but are present throughout the park, with a population of around 1,000. African Elephant.
Central Serengeti (Seronera) to South Ndutu Migration Area
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Today features early morning and late afternoon game drives in the Ndutu area, exploring Lake Ndutu and its surroundings. The great wildebeest migration occurs here from December through May. They calve in the plains in February, gallop through the woodland, and swim across Lake Ndutu. From June to November, the Ndutu plains dry up, and the great Wildebeest Migration moves towards Moru Kopjes in Serengeti National Park.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Early morning and late afternoon game drives continue in the Ndutu area, exploring Lake Ndutu and its surroundings. The great wildebeest migration occurs here from December through May. They calve in the plains in February, gallop through the woodland, and swim across Lake Ndutu. From June to November, the Ndutu plains dry up, and the great Wildebeest Migration moves towards Moru Kopjes in Serengeti National Park.
Ngorongoro Ndutu Migration Area
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After breakfast, the wildebeest migration viewing resumes, returning to the lodge in the evening. Explore the diverse habitats, including swamps, woodland, soda lakes, and the world-famous Serengeti short grass plains. Witness great herds of wildebeest and zebra. During a brief period around February, typically lasting about three weeks, the majority of the wildebeest calves. The sea of grass offers little cover, making the young easy targets for various predators. Wildebeest calves can run minutes after birth and are usually strong enough to keep up with the herd within three days.
Ndutu Area to Arusha Town - JRO Airport
Arusha - After breakfast, the colorful town of Mto-wa-Mbu is explored for some last-minute photos and curio shopping. The tour then heads to Arusha, concluding at the airport for international flight connections or continuing the holiday to Zanzibar.
