• Naturalland Expeditions - This bean-to-cup interactive journey immerses travelers in the traditional art of coffee roasting and brewing. It starts with a brief guided tour of a smallholder coffee farm, where participants learn about the cultivation of Arabica coffee, a key export of Tanzania. Following the tour, guests move to a private garden for a hands-on lesson in husking, roasting, grinding, and brewing coffee using traditional handmade tools. The entire process is manual and accompanied by traditional songs. Participants begin by pounding dried beans in a large wooden mortar and pestle to remove the outer husk. The beans are then roasted in a clay pot over a charcoal fire, imparting a rustic flavor. Once roasted, the beans are ground into a coarse powder. The coffee is then brewed in a clay kettle with fresh spring water. Once ready, guests can savor a cup of their organic single-origin coffee, accompanied by homemade sweets crafted from local organic ingredients. Karibuni kahawa!
